Grab has introduced major upgrades to its GrabUnlimited membership, offering users enhanced savings on rides and exclusive deals through partnerships across travel, entertainment, productivity and more. These improvements reflect Grab’s ongoing commitment to create more value for GrabUnlimited members, giving them more reason to engage on its platform.

Hassan Alsagoff, Regional Head of Loyalty and Marketing, said: “The addition of mobility benefits and exclusive partner deals makes this the biggest update to GrabUnlimited to date. Since its launch, GrabUnlimited has received an incredible response from our users. As of June this year, we’ve seen 42% of members opting for 12-month long-term plans. This speaks to how much our users are enjoying the programme and the value it brings. Today, it’s the largest paid food delivery loyalty programme in Southeast Asia and we’re excited to introduce even more benefits aimed at enriching the everyday lives of our users.”

GrabUnlimited members will now get to enjoy GrabUnlimited Exclusive deals. These are specially curated partner deals, offering benefits that extend beyond the Grab platform. Key highlights that are  progressively being rolled out across markets include:

1-month access to ChatGPT Plus (worth US$20)

ChatGPT Plus allows users to stay connected even during high-traffic periods. They can also make use of OpenAI’s most advanced AI models like GPT-5, enjoy faster response times, and unlock enhanced features like voice interactions, image generation, and more.

Oliver Jay, Managing Director for International at OpenAI, said: “We’re proud of our close collaboration with Grab and our shared commitment to making AI more accessible to everyone. With GrabUnlimited’s reach, we see it as a fitting platform to introduce the benefits of ChatGPT Plus to everyday users across Southeast Asia.”

A commitment to deliver greater value

GrabUnlimited has been instrumental in further driving user retention and engagement, with members driving over a third of our Deliveries Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) in Q2 this year. Additionally, GrabUnlimited members had shown significantly higher activity and spending levels compared to non-members, spending five times more and placing orders at four times the frequency in Food services during the same period.

These upgrades mark a major milestone for GrabUnlimited, reinforcing Grab’s commitment to delivering greater value to its users. With mobility benefits and exclusive partnerships, Grab continues to enrich everyday experiences and strengthen its position as a platform for millions across Southeast Asia.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
