As a GrabRewards user, you’re entitled to a host of exclusive benefits such as discounted rewards, accelerated points earn rates, priority services and more.

The GrabRewards programme has 4 tiers – Member, Silver, Gold and Platinum. You can refer to this table for the number of points needed to progress to the next tier.

Yes! You are eligible to earn GrabRewards Points for all Grab rides taken across Southeast Asia*. Points earned outside your home country will be awarded based on the points earn rate in the country you are visiting.

Yes! However, please note that points will be awarded based on the non-discounted portion of the fare.

For example, if your fare was SGD 150 and you had applied a “SGD 50 off” promo code or Ride Reward, you would only earn GrabRewards points for SGD 150 – SGD 50 = SGD 100.

No, GrabRewards points will not be awarded for tolls, fees and other surcharges.

You can redeem your points for exciting deals and discounts listed in our in-app GrabRewards catalogue. Here are the different kinds of rewards that you can choose from:

  • Partner Rewards: Deals related to dining, shopping and entertainment
  • Ride and GrabFood Rewards: Discounts on your Grab rides and GrabFood orders

Head over to the GrabRewards catalog in your Grab app to browse through the various rewards on offer.

  • Step 1: Tap on the icon at the top left corner of your Grab home screen and select “GrabRewards” from the side menu
  • Step 2: Choose your preferred rewards category to explore available rewards. Select “Grab” if you’re looking for Ride Rewards
  • Step 3: Tap on “Purchase” once you find a reward you like
  • Step 4: Your reward will be added to your “My Rewards” page, and can be used anytime before its expiry date.

Redeem the “Upgrade to Genius User” reward located in the GrabRewards catalogue with just 1 point to receive Genius program access.

How to use the reward?
Step 1: Purchase Reward
Step 2: You do not need to use the promo code on the purchase confirmation page
Step 3: In your My Rewards page, tap on the “Upgrade to Genius User” reward to use now
Step 4: You’ll be redirected to the exclusive Booking.com page where you can sign up or sign in to receive Genius program access.

Check the My Rewards page in your Grab app to view the Booking.com reward that you have purchased. Access the benefits via the purchased reward before it expires.

In order to view and use your Genius benefits, you need to access the Booking.com website through the “Upgrade to Genius User” reward located in the My Rewards page in your Grab app.

How do I do that?

  1. Tap on the “Upgrade to Genius User” reward in your My Rewards page, and select “Use Now At Booking.com”.
  2. Tap on “Book a discount”. You will be redirected to the Booking.com website.
  3. You can now proceed with your booking.

Your Genius benefits can be used at properties labelled with the orange Genius icon.

You may reach out to Booking.com if you have further questions on Genius benefits.

Each user is entitled to one Booking.com Genius membership. Please reach out to Booking.com to amend your email.

Exclusive Grab vouchers will be sent to you from time to time, please check the My Rewards page in your Grab app to avoid missing out on these vouchers.

We’d be really sad to see you go! At the same time, you would lose your GrabRewards points, your existing tier status (Silver, Gold, Platinum) and all associated tier privileges. If you do decide to opt-back in at a later date, we will not be able to restore your previous GrabRewards points balance.

This would depend on how often you use Grab.

Here’s another example. Let’s say, your current tier is Platinum. You will stay on Platinum from 1 Jan- 30 June (Reward Period 1). However, if you take 0 rides during that Reward Period, your Platinum tier would be ‘downgraded’ to the basic ‘Member’ tier. That’s why you need to take more rides to earn a certain amount of points to stay on your current tier.

Yes. You may be downgraded to a lower tier (e.g. from Gold to Silver tier status) if you do not earn enough GrabRewards points (by making qualified Grab transactions) required to maintain your current tier status.

You will need to earn the following number of points in 6 month periods (between January 1 – June 30; or July 1 to December 31) to maintain your status for the subsequent 6 month period. Tier qualifications are country specific. Please refer to the GrabRewards website in your country to see the Tier Qualifications

Note that GrabRewards member tier status and tier expiry should not be confused with points expiry (which relates to the GrabRewards points you can spend on your rewards catalogue). They both have different expiry mechanisms.

Tier downgrades may happen if you do not accumulate a sufficient number of GrabRewards points during your earning period.

If you do get downgraded from your current tier, you’ll end up losing all benefits associated with that tier.

Of course, the easiest way to prevent this from happening is to Grab more and accumulate enough points to maintain your tier status!

Unfortunately, your GrabRewards membership is non-transferable.

Since your Booking.com Genius membership is linked to your GrabRewards tier, you will not be able to transfer it to others either.

You can earn GrabRewards points by making Grab-related transactions, such as taking a Grab ride, or making a GrabFood order.

As of 1 July 2019, GrabRewards is introducing Activity Based Points Expiry (ABPE), a new program to help extend the life of your GrabRewards points. As long as you make 1 Grab transaction within the next 6 months of your last transaction, your points will continue to accumulate.

For example:
– You make a GrabCar transaction on Aug 5, 2019.
– To make sure your points continue to accumulate and not expire, you will need to make only 1 more Grab transaction within the next 6 months; which means 1 transaction between 1 Sep – Feb 29, 2020.
– If you are unable to make any Grab transactions within the next six months, all your points will expire.

As of 1 July 2019, GrabRewards is introducing Activity-Based Points Expiry, a new program to help extend the life of your GrabRewards points. As long as you make 1 Grab transaction within the next 6 months of your last transaction, your points will continue to accumulate and not expire.

A Grab transaction in this case includes the following:
– Any completed Grab “ride” trips (this includes any transport service shown in your Grab app, including, but is not limited to GrabCar, GrabBike, JustGrab, eScooter, etc.)
– Any completed GrabFood orders
– Any completed GrabPay QR payments at merchants / stores
– Any completed partner payments (e.g. GPC via Fave)

Go into your GrabRewards page through the “Rewards” icon on your home screen, and click on your Membership Info at the bottom bar of your GrabRewards page. In the Membership Info page, you will see your points expiry date.

You can find aspirational rewards by clicking into the GrabRewards page in-app, and scrolling through the “Special Deals” section of the catalogue home page. Some aspirational rewards can also be found inside the individual rewards category pages.

Aspirational rewards are bigger items which you can redeem with more points, and can be found inside your GrabRewards catalogue. These may include Apple Airpods, Samsung Smart TV, Dyson Airwrap, Nintendo Switch, and more (availability will depend on the country which your Grab app is registered in).

With Activity Based Points Expiry , your points may never expire so long as you make qualifying Grab transactions within the next 6 months for Singapore and Indonesia. This means you can accumulate as many points as you need to redeem a much larger, aspirational rewards.
