Travellers headed to Southeast Asia can now purchase the Grab Travel Pass—a bundle of discounts and promos on Grab rides and meals.
Designed specifically for travellers, the Travel Pass aims to help travellers get around, order food, and dine out at restaurants affordably so that they can explore more.
The Travel Pass is now available across seven markets in Southeast Asia. Users can purchase the pass before departing their home country or when they arrive at a destination. It’ll be valid for four weeks from the date of purchase.
For instance, in Indonesia, the Travel Pass is available for just IDR 12K and offers perks such as 20 per cent off dine-out deals.
Here’s a breakdown of the perks the Travel Passes offer for each country:
These discount bundles can be found under the subscriptions page within the Grab app.
This is part of broader efforts to enhance the Grab experience as more people use the app as they travel.
We’ve been seeing an uptick in the number of travellers using the Grab app. Southeast Asia also emerged as the most popular holiday destination among users surveyed, with more than half saying they plan to visit countries in the region
This uptick in travel interest and the popularity of Southeast Asia as a holiday destination prompted us to continue to grow our suite of user-friendly travel solutions on the app. Over the past couple of years, we’ve introduced new features such as the traveller homepage, in-app menu translations and navigation tool to help users get around Southeast Asia with ease.
We will continue to look into developing more innovative solutions to make travel even more seamless for our users.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.
As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.
Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
