GrabRewards has been rebranded to GrabCoins, introducing more ways to earn so users can enjoy savings from their everyday actions on Grab.
GrabCoins is now live in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam (where it’s called GrabXu). Users can update their Grab app to version 5.380.0 (or newer) to start earning and redeeming GrabCoins.
GrabCoins can be earned by completing purchases or bookings via the Grab app. This includes Food, Delivery, Transport, Express and Mart services, as well as through GrabPay, PayLater, and digibanks (GXS Bank, GXBank) in select markets.
On top of this, users can earn even more GrabCoins per transaction through specific actions, with these additional earning opportunities being gradually introduced as part of a phased rollout.
This includes hosting GrabFood Group Orders, booking tables via Grab Dine Out, booking rides with Advance Booking or through our newly launched Partner App services and in-store at grocers like Jaya Grocer. These will be updated periodically, ensuring there are always new ways to earn GrabCoins.
Users can then redeem GrabCoins they’ve earned and enjoy savings on future bookings and orders. They can do this via a toggle at the Food and Mart checkout page or redeem them under Offers on the booking screen. This allows them to instantly lower their total payment amount.
Users can stay up-to-date on ways to earn GrabCoins by checking the GrabCoins homepage in the latest version of the Grab app.
Find out more about ways to earn on the GrabCoins homepage
The GrabCoins homepage is a hub to discover relevant ways of earning more GrabCoins and to redeem deals that matter most to them. This section of Grab’s app guides users to consider different ways to get value out of everyday transactions through Grab by earning and saving GrabCoins.
We evolved GrabRewards to help users earn and save in more tangible and immediate ways.
Users will now have a clearer view on the value of their GrabCoins, including details on the total GrabCoins they’ve accumulated over time, the GrabCoins they can earn for each eligible transaction, and the number of GrabCoins they can redeem for future transactions before prior to checkout.
By making it more transparent for users to see how GrabCoins are valued, earned, and redeemed, they can experience additional ways of benefiting from being a part of Grab’s ecosystem.
We have been gradually introducing additional ways for users to start earning more GrabRewards Points ahead of the official launch of GrabCoins in November 2025. Once they update their Grab apps, they will see that references to ‘GrabRewards’ will have changed to ‘GrabCoins’.
GrabRewards Points that users have already earned and accumulated will automatically convert into GrabCoins on a one-to-one basis once a user updates their Grab app. For example, if a user has 2000 GrabRewards Points, they’ll instantly be valued at 2000 GrabCoins.
From January 2026, users are encouraged to redeem the GrabCoins they have earned within six months before they expire. Here are some key changes users need to take note of during this transition phase:
We want to ensure users can enjoy more benefits as our ecosystem of products and services continues to grow. With the evolution of GrabRewards to GrabCoins, being a Grab user will come with more value than ever.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.
As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.
Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
