We’ve launched an AI-powered Grab Shopping Agent to make grocery shopping on GrabMart faster and less tedious. Instead of hunting for items one by one, users can simply upload their shopping list and let the agent do the heavy lifting: finding items, suggesting the best matches, helping you load your cart quickly.
It is now available in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Doorstep delivery is convenient, but the steps before checkout—finding and adding items one at a time—were still slow and repetitive. Our early user research showed people felt bogged down by one-by-one searches and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of listings, especially on their first few visits. That’s why we built Mart Shopping Agent to reduce that planning and decision fatigue.
When you give the agent a shopping list in any form—whether a recipe, or a screenshot from mom—our AI system understands your grocery needs, extracts keywords and searches all items within the merchant of your choice. It then ranks the items so the most relevant options appear first, using signals like your purchase history, items similar to what you like, and contextual cues such as time of day. The result is a clear, ranked list that lets you fill your cart much faster.
Down the road, we want to allow users to save and reuse lists with handy reminders for routine restocks or even turn prompts like “bake a cheesecake” into a complete shopping plan.
Grab Shopping Agent represents a shift in how we help people shop. By reducing friction in discovery and ordering, we make our wide selection easier to navigate and make grocery shopping faster and more enjoyable, helping users get the best of GrabMart’s convenience for their everyday needs.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.
As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.
Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
