By knowing the identity behind each GrabPay wallet user, we’re able to create a secure payments platform for everyone that can mitigate the risks of fraud, identity theft, money laundering, and other illicit activities. This identification process is also known as KYC (“Know Your Customers”).

Once you hit the basic wallet annual transaction limit of $5,000, you will not be able to continue using your GrabPay Wallet until you complete the customer identification process by submitting your identification document to us for verification.

To verify your identity, you can follow the steps here.

If you have shared your credit/debit card information with a suspected fraudster, please block your card immediately by contacting your bank or through Grab app for GrabPay Card and lodge a police report for further investigation.

Grab keeps your personal data and information safe and secure. If you do not recognize a transaction on your account, we recommend reviewing all the details first or checking with family and friends who may also have access to your Grab account to see if they initiated the transaction.

Komsan Chiyadis

GrabFood delivery-partner, Thailand

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
