We are always listening to your feedback and introducing new ways to reward and recognise our most loyal and hardworking delivery-partners. As such, we have revamped the Emerald Circle programme and this will take into effect Jan 2023.
Here are the key changes:
You can find out more details on the various benefits via the following help centres:
Invites will be extended to the top-performing delivery-partners (up to the top 5%). Diamond tier delivery-partners can look forward to exclusive benefits such as priority support, exclusive swags and more.
We’ve also heard your feedback on the perks you want – stay tuned for updates on enhancements to your benefits (Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire and Diamond), such as My Destination, vehicle maintenance perks, and more.
To provide more flexibility in however way you decide to earn or maintain your tiers, we will be introducing these changes:
Your tier refresh will be determined every 3 months (quarterly). This will give you even more flexibility to plan your work schedule, take more breaks, and have more opportunities to achieve your trip targets. This also means that once you qualify for a tier, it will be maintained for 3 months.
For example, a rider who completes the required trips over 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Mar 2025 will qualify for the Sapphire tier. This tier will be valid from 1 Apr 2025 to 30 Jun 2025.
The new targets will take effect from October 2026 onwards, and all orders completed in Q3 2026 will determine the Q4 2026 tier.
We are introducing Off-Day Points to replace the Bonus Booster, designed to encourage our Diamond partners to take well-deserved time off.
How it works:
Women-Partners who are pregnant may not be able to complete trips or deliveries during their pregnancy. To support Women-partners during this time, Emerald Circle offers tier protection for pregnant Women-partners.
If you are pregnant, your current Emerald Circle tier will be protected for up to *15 months , even if you don’t complete enough jobs to maintain your tier, as long as you submit the required documentation.
*15 months includes 9 months during pregnancy and 6 months after birth.
You may qualify if you:
You will need to submit official documentation confirming your pregnancy, such as:
You must submit your request through the appropriate appeal form and attach your supporting documents.
Transport-Partners: Submit your appeal through the Transport appeal link
Delivery-Partners: Submit your appeal through the Delivery appeal link
Our team will review your submission and verify your documentation.
Tiers will next be renewed in the first week of every calendar quarter (e.g 1 Jan 2025).
You will be accessed on your performance over a 3-month period in each calendar quarter (e.g. Tier for Q2 2025, Apr – Jun 2025, will be determined by your performance between Jan – Mar 2025)
Trip count is based on completed GrabFood, GrabExpress and GrabMart completed trips during the assessment cycle, according to the time of order completion.
From October 2026, we are expanding Diamond tier eligibility so that the top 10% of Sapphire Partners will now qualify. Note that Diamond tier is by invitation only.
Your Emerald Circle tier will be refreshed within the first week of the new quarter. Benefits for the new tier will start the week after the new confirmed tier is completed.
The tiers refresh every quarter and you will be tiered according to your total number of completed trips. If no trips are done during that cycle, you will be automatically tiered to Emerald at the end of the assessment cycle.
Here are a few reasons this may have happened:
Your new tier will be updated by the 4th working day of the new quarter.
Appealing will be allowed from the next day after Confirmation of EC Tiers of each quarter.
Appeal form will be available for 5 days & MUST be submitted by the 5th day of appeal period to be considered.

* Please note that appeal form will only be available during the Appeal Open Period. *
Appeals will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Grab has the final decision on the appeal result due to other factors.
Mode of delivery changes take effect immediately. Orders completed after the change are counted under the new vehicle type. At quarter end, your points will be calculated using a weighted average* of performance under both vehicle types to determine your tier for the next quarter.
Example:
A delivery-partner changes his vehicle type from Bike to Cycle within the quarter. Once the change is successfully applied, all subsequent orders count as Cycle orders. At the end of the quarter, points are calculated using a weighted average* of his Bike and Cycle performance to determine next-quarter tier.
Illustration:
During the assessment period, Brian did 1200 orders on Bike and 400 orders on Cycle. He did a total of 1600 orders – 75% on Bike and 25% on Cycle.
His targets would change based on the split of orders, using the following formula:
New target = (75% of Bike target) + (25% of Cycle target)
Sapphire: (75% of 1600) + (25% of 1200)= 1500
Ruby: (75% of 750) + (25% of 480)= 682.5
In this scenario, Brian would qualify for the Sapphire tier (AR / CR/ DR requirements met).
* When a delivery-partner uses more than one vehicle type (motorbike, bicycle, etc.) and has no single predominant (defined as completing >90% orders on that vehicle) mode of delivery, we calculate your target by combining each vehicle type’s target according to the share (weight) of orders you did with each vehicle type. This gives a single, fair target to compare your total orders against.
For change of vehicle type, please submit your request at I want to update my delivery mode/vehicle details for GrabFood
All new joiners will start from Emerald tier first. They will be able to progress to higher tiers to unlock more benefits if they manage to complete the minimum trip targets for the respective tier*.
*Safety-related training will still be required if Deliver-Partner is flagged for safety risk.
You can view your benefits through your driver app > “Profile” > “More” > “Grab Benefits”
Certain benefits could be only available to delivery-partners in a higher tier.
To view the list of benefits eligible for delivery-partners, please click here
Please take note that any new account activation or changes to vehicle types for shift eligibility will take up to 7 working days to reflect.
For example: Alex, an Emerald Walker, is not eligible for any shifts. He decides to change to Cycle. He will only see the peak shifts in his booking planner 3 working days later.
Stacked orders will be counted according to the number of trips grouped together.
Example:
A stacked order of 4 will be counted as 4 trips instead of 1.
No, only completed trips will be counted towards your trip target.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.
As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.
Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
