Grab Recognises The Key Role of Driver- And Delivery-Partners at Penghargaan Rakan Grab

Partners receive grocery and fuel vouchers to alleviate cost-of-living pressures

Sungai Buloh, 23 May 2026 – Grab Malaysia (Grab) today hosted Penghargaan Rakan Grab, part of its ongoing efforts to appreciate the crucial role played by its driver-and delivery-partners. In partnership with Central Mart, Grab distributed fuel and grocery vouchers to partners in attendance, as part of broader initiatives aimed at helping to alleviate rising costs of living.

Grab’s initiatives to support partners go hand-in-hand with national efforts to mitigate economic burdens among Malaysians.

“Grab believes in contributing towards driving Malaysia forward by creating economic empowerment for all. Through tools and programmes that help our partners build resilient, long-term earning opportunities, we are offering a platform where everyone can thrive. By supplementing income with shorter-term measures such as vouchers that give our partners breathing room in pressing economic environments, we aim to ensure the gig economy remains a viable and sustainable earning ecosystem for all Malaysians,” said Rashid Shukor, Senior Director, Grab Malaysia.

Tools such as AI Ride Guide and a new enhanced incentive programme are designed to provide real-time demand insights and route optimisation to help partners maximise their earnings and efficiency.  These tools also help partners retain the flexibility to choose how and where they are active.

This approach also uplifts women who often have limited options to earn income: a 2026 study revealed that 74% of Grab’s women partners report greater financial independence through the platform.

“It’s vital for Grab to get this right, as it sits at the heart of our approach. As a mission-driven company, we measure success not just through growth, but through positive and lasting social impact in the communities we serve. Technology with compassion empowers our partners, who can leverage the ecosystem we’ve built to earn and build a better future, centered around comprehensive support, safety, sustainable income and upskilling,” added Rashid.

In addition to platform-based tools, Grab supports  partners through GrabBenefits which includes comprehensive personal accident insurance, SOCSO, and solutions aimed at cost saving measures, as well as upskilling programmes through GrabAcademy, with more than RM10 million invested across 2025.
