A premium is included in GrabPet fares as it’s a specialised, on-demand service. GrabPet rides come with added insurance for all pets onboard, as well as a fur-friendly seat cover. Our GrabPet driver partners also receive additional training in transporting your pet safely and comfortably.

You can take any household pet (approved by the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore), except birds. Your pet must also be treated against parasites and fleas.

Your pets must be accompanied by an adult.

You can bring a maximum of 2 medium pets (e.g. poodles or cats) or one large pet (e.g. golden retriever) per ride.

Individual GrabPet drivers may allow extra pets at their discretion.

Up to two people can ride with your pets. However, individual GrabPet drivers may allow extra passengers at their discretion.

Yes, your pets are automatically insured on every GrabPet ride.

All GrabPet driver-partners are trained to handle different types of pets during the ride, read basic body language of pets and ensure safety is a pet’s behaviour becomes an issue.

Their training is conducted in-person by an experienced AVA-accredited trainer and is concluded by passing a pet-handling exam.

If your pet soils the car, your driver will need to send their car for cleaning. This means they will have a gap in their driving which affects their earnings.

In this situation, you should offer to pay the driver a fee for cleaning services, in line with our usual Grab policy. You should exchange contact details with your driver and make arrangements for paying the cleaning fee.

Your pet must be treated against parasites, ticks and fleas before riding with GrabPet.

It is possible to bring your child on a GrabPet ride (max one), provided that the following requirements are met:

Babies: If you are bringing an infant/baby, a car seat or capsule must be provided by the passenger, as per our usual GrabCar requirements.

Children: Singapore law requires that children below the height of 1.35m must be secured with an appropriate restraint device while riding in private hire vehicles.

If you do not have your own booster seat, please advise the driver in the ‘Notes’ section upon booking that you have a child with you. If the Driver has a booster seat available they will be able to accept the ride, otherwise they may decline the ride.

Please be aware that there will be an additional $2 surcharge (not included in the fare shown on the Grab app) for the booster seat, if provided by the driver.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
