Recap: GrabRentals’ Highlights from 2023!

As we embark on the journey into 2024, we want to express our gratitude to our Hirer-Partners for being integral members of the GrabRentals family, shaping our identity and success. 2023 has been a wonderful chapter with all of you — shaped by a kaleidoscope of noteworthy events and milestones!

Here are some key moments worth remembering:

1. GrabRentals Hirer-Partner Events

On 18 January 2023, GrabRentals ushered in the Chinese New Year with a festive Lo Hei session. The celebration included a captivating lion dance performance dedicated to our esteemed Hirer-Partners, accompanied by an appreciation speech from the GrabRentals’ team. Adding to the excitement, Hirer-Partners had the chance to win attractive prizes through an engaging lucky draw.

To commemorate Hari Raya this year, GrabRentals also organised an exciting giveaway contest. Additionally, our GrabRentals director extended his heartfelt wishes for Hari Raya through a specially recorded video message.

Subsequently, as a token of gratitude, GrabRentals organised a movie event during the June holidays. During this memorable occasion, our Hirer-Partners enjoyed the latest movie, SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE, alongside their loved ones.

2. Townhall

We also organised a townhall event this year that facilitated a meaningful interaction between the GrabRentals team and Hirer-Partners. During this gathering, the GrabRentals team shared crucial business updates, actively encouraging attending Hirer-Partners to voice their concerns and provide feedback.

3. GrabRentals 7th Birthday Bash

Our 7th anniversary was joyously celebrated this year at Grab@Tampines on 7 October 2023! The event was a tremendous success, boasting a significant turnout and generous support from our official sponsors. We trust that everyone who joined us had an amazing time engaging in the specially curated activities, including the most exciting lucky draw featuring prizes totaling over $17,000!

4. GrabRentals Roadshows

This year marked several firsts for GrabRentals, one of them being our roadshows held in a central and conveniently accessible location for our Driver-Partners. These roadshows offered Driver-Partners the added convenience of skipping the queue at Grab@Tampines – a definite advantage! For those who did reserve a car, the added perk of checking out their vehicle on the same day was an added benefit!

5. Launch of New Premium and Exec Cars

We also introduced two new cars, the Toyota Noah Hybrid and the Toyota Alphard Hybrid. These new additions to our fleet enables our Hirer-Partners to take on more ride types, enhancing their income opportunities. The Toyota Noah Hybrid opens up the possibility of taking on premium jobs (Premium & Premium 6), while the Toyota Alphard Hybrid allows Hirer-Partners to engage in GrabExec jobs in addition to premium jobs.

6. Newly Launched Car Sharing Feature

GrabRentals also launched its Car Sharing feature on the Grab Driver app, ensuring a smooth and convenient experience for Driver-Partners interested in participating in the programme. The introduction of the Car Sharing Programme aimed to offer our Driver-Partners an alternative to access lower rental rates by sharing the rental costs with another driver, all while enjoying the flexibility of driving a shift of their choice. With the new app feature, Driver-Partners can effortlessly participate in the programme without any hassle.
