RESERVATION SERVICES POWERED BY CHOPE

These reservation services terms and conditions (“Reservation Services Terms”) govern your use of the restaurant reservation services made available to you by Chope Group Pte. Ltd. (“Chope“) via various applications, mediums and platforms (collectively referred to as “Platform“) (“Reservation Services“). By using the Reservation Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Reservation Services Terms. The Terms of Service and Privacy Notice are hereby incorporated and form an integral part of these Reservation Services Terms. All capitalized terms not defined in these Reservation Services Terms carry the same meaning as defined in the Terms of Service.

Accordingly, these Reservation Services Terms (which may be updated from time to time) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Chope. If you do not agree to the Reservation Services Terms, please do not use the Reservation Services.

1. GENERAL TERMS

1.1 These Reservation Services Terms apply to all users making reservations through the Platform.

1.2 Chope reserves the right to update these Reservation Services Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Reservation Services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

1.3 Additional terms may apply based on local regulations and restaurant policies.

2. RESERVATION PROCESS

2.1 You may book restaurant reservations through the Platform by selecting an available restaurant, date, time, and number of guests.

2.2 A reservation confirmation will be provided within the Platform and/or via email or SMS.

2.3 You are responsible for arriving at the restaurant at the specified reservation time. Late arrivals may result in cancellation at the restaurant’s discretion.

2.4 Some reservations may require deposits or pre-payments, which are subject to the restaurant’s refund policy. These requirements will be displayed at the time of booking. Any refunds of deposits or pre-payments, for cancellations or any other reasons, will be handled directly by the restaurant.

3. MODIFICATIONS & CANCELLATIONS

3.1 You may modify or cancel reservations through the Platform, subject to the restaurant’s policies.

3.2 Restaurants reserve the right to cancel reservations in case of unforeseen circumstances or non-compliance with restaurant policies.

3.3 Restaurants may set their own cancellation policies, which will be displayed before booking confirmation.

3.4 Failure to honor reservations (no-shows or late cancellations) may result in penalties imposed by restaurants, including forfeiting deposits or restrictions on future reservations.

4. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 You must provide accurate personal and contact details when making reservations.

4.2 You are responsible for adhering to restaurant policies, including dress codes and dining durations.

4.3 Misuse of the Reservation Services, including repeated no-shows or cancellations, may result in account restrictions.

4.4 In circumstances where a Restaurant contests your attendance, you agree to provide verifiable proof of fulfillment within seven (7) calendar days following the reservation date. Acceptable documentation includes but is not limited to, original time/date-stamped receipts, electronic payment confirmations, or other transaction records from the venue. Chope reserves the right to resolve all disputed claims in its sole discretion.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

5.1 Chope acts as a facilitator between you and restaurants. Chope is not liable for service quality, food, or any disputes arising between you and restaurants. Any disputes related to food quality, service, or pricing must be resolved directly between you and the restaurant.

5.2 Chope shall not be liable for any loss, damages, or expenses arising from the restaurant’s service.

5.3 In the event of a system failure, Chope will make reasonable efforts to restore services but is not liable for disruptions.

6. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION

6.1 By using the Reservation Services, users consent to Chope collecting and processing personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

6.2 Chope may share reservation details with partner restaurants for reservation fulfillment purposes.

7. GRAB LOYALTY UNITS

7.1 Grab loyalty units (“loyalty units”) shall be awarded for reservations, subject to Clause 7 of these Reservation Services Terms and Grab’s Terms of Service: Payment. All defined terms in this Clause 7 which are not defined in these Reservation Services Terms carry the same meaning as defined in the Grab’s Terms of Service: Payment.

7.2 Loyalty units shall only be awarded for reservations that meet all following requirements: (i) created exclusively through the Grab Application; (ii) completed while you are actively logged into your registered Grab account; and (iii) subsequently honoured by you through full attendance at the reserved time and location.

7.3 Loyalty units shall be awarded only for the first four (4) completed dining reservations per user per calendar day. Reservations exceeding this daily threshold, regardless of completion status, shall not qualify for loyalty unit eligibility.

7.4 Loyalty units accrued through fraudulent reservations, system manipulation, or other prohibited activities may be immediately revoked at Grab’s absolute discretion without prior notice.

7.5 All claims regarding loyalty units allocation must be formally submitted via a contact form on Grab within fourteen (14) business days of the original reservation date. To facilitate prompt resolution, claimants must include:

  • Complete reservation reference details
  • Documentary evidence of reservation fulfillment
  • Clear description of the disputed matter

8. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

8.1 These Reservation Services Terms shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia.

8.2 Any disputes shall be resolved amicably between you and Chope. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to the Asian International Arbitration Centre (“AIAC”), in accordance with the Rules of the AIAC as modified or amended from time to time (the “Rules”) by a sole arbitrator appointed by the mutual agreement of you and Chope (the “Arbitrator”). If you and Chope are unable to agree on an arbitrator, the Arbitrator shall be appointed by the President of AIAC in accordance with the Rules. The seat and venue of the arbitration shall be Kuala Lumpur, in the English language and the fees of the Arbitrator shall be borne equally by you and Chope, provided that the Arbitrator may require that such fees be borne in such other manner as the Arbitrator determines is required in order for this arbitration clause to be enforceable under applicable law.

1. Campaign period is from 15 January 2022 (12:00am) – 28 February 2022 (11.59pm).
2. GrabPay users are eligible for a “RM8 rebate” in your “My Rewards” when you spend a minimum of RM88 on a single receipt via GrabPay Wallet.
3. The offer of “RM8 rebate” is limited to a total of 62,500 redemptions throughout the campaign period.
4. Offer is valid for TWO (2) in-store redemptions with a cap of ONE(1) redemption per user per day throughout the campaign. Shared across AEON Co, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime, and AEON Wellness throughout the campaign period. 
5. The “RM8 rebate” will be awarded instantly with a minimum transaction of RM88 with GrabPay at all outlets of AEON Co, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime, AEON Wellness; The rebate can be found under “My Rewards”. Rebate must be redeemed by clicking “use now” under “My Rewards” 30 days from the date of issuance.
6. The campaign will cease once all redemptions have been fully awarded or at the expiration of the campaign period, whichever is earlier.
7. Offer is based on a first come first served and while stocks last basis only.
8. Grab and AEON Group shall not be under any obligation to inform users, on any communication channels once the offer has been fully redeemed.
9. Offer is only available for AEON Co, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime, and AEON Wellness physical stores purchases at cashier counter only via GrabPay Wallet; offer is not applicable for online or GrabMart purchases.
10. Offer is not exchangeable for cash or replacements.
11. Offer is not valid with any other voucher, discount or promotion.
12. Grab and AEON Group reserve the right to alter, extend or terminate the promotion, or amend the terms and conditions at its sole discretion at any time without prior notice. In case of any disputes directly or indirectly arising from the promotion, the decision of Grab and AEON Group shall be final.
13. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia and any dispute arising out of or in connection with promotion shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Malaysia.
14. This rebate is non-transferable to any party.
