Booster Points
Booster Point Example 1:
Megan completes a Saver | Share ride (i.e. 2 completed bookings) at 6pm. She will earn 3 XP points.
2 pt (Base) + 0.6 pt (Time) + 0.4 pt (Service Type) = 3 pt
Booster Point Example 2:
John completes a Standard | Assistance with storage ride at 7am. He will earn 2.3 XP points.
1 pt (Base) + 0.3 pt (Time) + 1 pt (Service Type) = 2.3 pt

Emerald Circle Tier Support
Women-Partners who are pregnant may not be able to complete trips or deliveries during their pregnancy. To support Women-partners during this time, Emerald Circle offers tier protection for pregnant Women-partners.
How does Emerald Circle Tier Protection work?
If you are pregnant, your current Emerald Circle tier will be protected for up to *15 months , even if you don’t complete enough jobs to maintain your tier, as long as you submit the required documentation.
*15 months includes 9 months during pregnancy and 6 months after birth.
Who is eligible?
You may qualify if you:
- Are a Women-partner enrolled in Emerald Circle
- Are currently pregnant
- Submit valid documentation confirming your pregnancy
What documents are required?
You will need to submit official documentation confirming your pregnancy, such as:
- A formal letter from a certified gynaecologist confirming the pregnancy.
How do I request tier protection?
You must submit your request through the appropriate appeal form and attach your supporting documents.

Important things to note
- Documentation is required for verification.
- Tier protection applies only during the pregnancy period and also 6 months post birth.
- Appeals submitted without valid documents may not be approved.

Emerald Circle is created for all GrabCar and GrabTaxi Partners! The more points you earn, the higher your tier!
XP are based on completed bookings. For every 1 trip completed, you will earn 1 XP point.
All transport services are eligible, except for Saver | Hitch.
Non-transport services such as GrabFood, GrabExpress and GrabMart are not considered for the transport Emerald Circle.
There are 2 types of Point Boosters based on Time & Service-Type. These boosters will give additional bonus XP points, on top of the 1XP point per ride you receive if you complete rides on certain services or within stipulated booster timings. Refer to the above infographic to find out more on timings & service types that are eligible for boosters.

Caltex Fuel Discount
- For the redemption of 25% fuel discount for Emerald and Ruby Driver-Partners, please refer to the GrabBenefits in your driver app

Off Day Points
- This will be available to eligible Driver-Partners who achieved the respective tiers in the quarter and subsequently met the benefit requirements.
- No appeals are allowed for this benefit.
- These bonus points will be excluded from all multipliers from other initiatives/benefits.
Training Courses Bonus Points
Driver-Partners who complete the below training courses will receive 25 bonus points for each course.

You can check your points from the Driver App by going to ‘My Profile’ > ‘View Tiers and Progress’. Kindly note that the points are not updated in real-time and may take up to 3 days to be reflected.
I just signed-up to drive with GrabCar / GrabTaxi. Do I need to opt-in to be part of Emerald Circle?
All GrabCar and GrabTaxi Partners are automatically enrolled into the program. New GrabCar / GrabTaxi Partners will be placed in the Emerald tier for a start.
Tiers are determined by the total XP accumulated over the calendar quarter. As you approach higher tiers, other criteria will be considered too (e.g. Acceptance Rating, Cancellation Rating, Driver Rating, past records, etc.)

Tiers will next be renewed in the first week of the next quarter (e.g 1st week of April). Your new tier will be reflected in your app by the end of the second week of the quarter.
