GrabRentals Collision Damage Waiver

We've got you covered
from just $5.45/day.

Protect your interests on the road from just $5.45/day!

What does CDW cover?

We know that accidents are costly, even with excess coverage. That’s why we’ve introduced Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), exclusively for our GrabRentals hirer-partners!

From 18-Mar-2021, hirer-partners who sign a contract with GrabRentals and opt-into the CDW scheme will see accident excess and other relevant amounts payable reduced by 93%, which means you could possibly pay as low as $203.74. No more hefty costs!

We will also provide you with a free replacement vehicle, subjected to availability.

All these from just $5.45/day!

Main-hirer or relief driver under 21 years old:

The main hirer or authorized relief driver who is under the age of 21 years old will have to pay an additional $1,635 on top of the charges stated above.

In the event of a vehicle breakdown:

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Vehicle Damage Protection Scheme (VDP) are add-on services covered throughout the entire period of rental contract. In the event of vehicle breakdown, there will be no reimbursement for add-on services.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
