How to be a part of Grab's E-hailing service

Grab’s e-Hailing service is one of the services you can earn from once you have registered to drive with Grab. Here’s why we encourage all our Driver-Partners to register for both our e-Hailing and Deliveries services:

  1. Driver-Partners activated on both e-hailing and Deliveries, on average, can earn around 2x more for the same amount of time online compared to Driver-Partners who are just doing Deliveries as they are able to access more jobs.
  2. In addition to better earning opportunities, we also provide assistance in the process of attaining a PSV license in the following ways:
  • If you’re a new driver looking to sign up for Grab’s e-hailing, click here.
  • If you’re an existing e-Hailing driver and would like to add on GrabFood & GrabExpress Car service types, you may complete the online training via this link (link only works on mobile). The service types will be added to your account within the following week after completing the online training.

For existing Grab drivers who want to be activated on e-hailing just follow the steps below:

 

 

  1. Complete your e-hailing training

    Visit https://grb.to/4WPOT to access the in-app Grab training.

  2. Complete your e-hailing training

    Complete the courses required for e-hailing.

  3. Get your PSV license

    Visit grabtraining.my/ (Klang Valley only) or your nearest Institut Memandu to obtain your PSV training and license.

  4. Submit your PSV license

    On your profile, click the pencil icon on the top right corner.

  5. Submit your PSV license

    Click on 'Documents' and select 'PSV License'.

  6. Submit your PSV license

    Upload the necessary documents and fill up your details.

FAQ's for E-hailing

Grab’s e-hailing service is one of the services you can earn from once you have registered to drive with Grab.

To qualify you need to fulfill the following criteria

  • Age 21 – 69 years old
  • Vehicle age: Less than 10 years
  • Have an E-hailing PSV Licence (Effective 12 October 2019)
  • Must have a smartphone
  • Fulfill our car eligibility criteria
  • Go for Medical Check-Up upon applying PSV License

By getting your PSV license and being activated on E-Hailing, you can experience the following benefits:

  • Driver-Partners activated on both E-hailing and Deliveries, on average, can earn around 2x more for the same amount of time online compared to Driver-Partners who are just doing Deliveries as they are able to access more jobs.
  • In addition to better earning opportunities, we also provide assistance in the process of attaining a PSV license in the following ways:
    • Reimbursement from Grab for most of the associated costs
    • Online step-by-step guides on how to get the license.

Updates on incentive schemes will be sent out to all driver-partners via in-app message on a weekly basis. You can also view your job history and download your weekly earnings statements from the app to help you keep track of how much you’ve earned from trips. You can cash out your earnings within the same day to Maybank accounts and by the next working day for non-Maybank accounts.

We cover all our driver-partners and passengers with insurance for every ride. Grab prioritizes the safety of all our passengers and driver-partners, so rest assured that the Grab team will do its best to assist you at all times.

You will need to have a Malaysian IC with a valid (full) driving license and PSV license, and have to be between the age of 21 to 69 in order to qualify. Your car also needs to be in a good condition, preferably 6 years or newer. Check if your car is eligible here.
