Terms and Conditions of the ‘GrabFamily Social Giveaway’ Grab Campaign:

  • “GrabFamily Social Giveaway” (“the Campaign”) is organised by GrabCar Pte Ltd and its affiliates (“the Organisers”). 
  • By participating in the Campaign or any component thereof (including but not limited to Lucky Draws and Challenges), you represent that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions and the terms and conditions of all components of the Campaign. Prizes or rewards given out under this Campaign or any component thereof may be subject to separate terms and conditions (such as, in the case of Taxi Baby vouchers, the relevant terms and conditions governing such Taxi Baby vouchers).
  • The Campaign will run from 13 Jan – 1 Feb 2022. The Organisers reserve the sole and absolute right to end the Campaign or any component thereof at any time, without giving prior notice or compensation in cash or in kind. 
  • The Organisers reserve the sole and absolute right to disqualify any participant or reject participants deemed ineligible for the Campaign or any component thereof (whether under these terms and conditions or the terms and conditions of any component of the Campaign or by reason of the participant having engaged in any conduct that the Organisers consider inappropriate or unacceptable). 
  • The Organisers reserve the sole and absolute right to withdraw, amend and/or alter any part or the whole of the terms and conditions of this Campaign or any component thereof at any time without giving any prior notice to the participants.
  • The Organisers’ decisions in any matter in relation to the Campaign or any component thereof shall be final and conclusive. Any request for appeal and review shall not be entertained.
  • The Organisers shall not be liable for any claims by the participants or be accountable for third-party claims or losses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature, including direct, indirect, third party, consequential or other damages resulting from or related to this Campaign or any component thereof. 
  • The Organisers shall not be responsible or liable for any claims of loss or damage to property or any personal injury or loss of life resulting from or related to this Campaign or any component thereof. 
  • The Organisers do not take any responsibility in the case of any event that may prevent the participants from participating in the Campaign or any component thereof, as a result of certain technical restrictions or other limitations or force majeure, which include but is not limited to regulatory events, government directive, government intervention, pandemic, movement control orders, and act of God etc. 
  • By participating in the Campaign or any component thereof, each participant consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal data such as name, email address and residential address for the following purposes in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and Grab’s group Privacy Policy (available at https://www.grab.com/sg/terms-policies/privacy-policy/):
    • administration of the Campaign or any component thereof (including notification and announcement of winners and awarding of prizes)
  • The following persons are not eligible to participate in the Campaign nor any component thereof: 
    • The employees, contractors or other personnel (whether engaged on a permanent, temporary or contract-basis) of any of the Organisers and their immediate family members (that is, spouses, children, parents, brothers and sisters); and 
    • The employees, contractors or other personnel (whether engaged on a permanent, temporary or contract-basis) of other entities involved in the conduct, implementation and/or administration of the Campaign (as determined by the Organisers In its sole discretion). 
  • Winners will be selected based on the first 100 participants that have
    • Followed @grab_sg on Instagram
    • Correctly answer the question “mifold Grab-and-Go booster seats are ideal for children between 1 to  ___ m tall?’ in the comment section of the post
    • Tagged at least 1 friend along with their answer in the post
  • Each person is only eligible to win 1 prize, which consists of:
    • 1 x mifold grab-and-go booster seat
    • 1 x mifold grab-and-go drawstring bag
    • 1 x 15% Taxi Baby voucher
  • Winners of the contest will be notified via any means of communication deemed appropriate by the Organisers, including, but not limited to, social media, in-app notification, call or email.
  • You agree to accept any prize you may win in its current condition at time of issuance/collection. No returns or exchanges will be accepted.
  • Any fraudulent activity detected may result in a clawback of prizes.
  • The Organisers may, at their sole and absolute discretion, substitute any prize for another prize of similar value, in circumstances that include unavailability of the original prize, illegality or non-feasibility.
  • The Organisers may request for identification documents or further information to verify and check the identity of the winner, to prevent gaming and fraud.
  • All prizes must be claimed/redeemed within the stipulated deadline. Any prizes not claimed by the deadline may be forfeited (or disposed of, or donated, all at the Organisers’ discretion), and no claims whatsoever for payment or compensation shall be entertained.
  • Unless otherwise provided, all prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash/credit in kind.
  • Failure to fulfil, and/or breach of all/part of the above terms and conditions may result in a forfeiture or clawback of prizes.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
