  3. Chances of lucky draw participation do not stack. Each driver is eligible for a maximum of 20 chances only. 20 winners will be selected for each Emerald Circle tier.

Terms & Conditions: 
  • “Ready, Steady, Huat!” (“the Campaign”) and lucky draw is organised by GrabTaxi Pte Ltd and GrabCar Pte. Ltd. (“the Organisers” or “Grab”) and is open to all Grab Driver-Partners.
  • The Campaign will run in Singapore from 22 January 2024, 00:00 to 12 Febuary 2024, 23:59 (the “Campaign Period”). The Organisers reserve the sole and absolute right to alter or end the contest at any time, without giving prior notice or to compensate in cash or in kind.
  • By entering the Campaign, you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions of entry and decisions of the judges and the Organisers without limitation or qualification. Prizes or rewards given out under this Campaign or any component thereof may be subject to separate terms and conditions.
  • Lucky Draw Prizes: 20 sets of prizes for each Emerald Circle tier as per the table below.
    • 20 prizes for Diamond Driver-Partners, 20 prizes for Sapphire Driver-Partners, 20 prizes for Ruby Driver-Partners, 20 prizes for Emerald Driver-Partners
  • Draw will be made based on Driver-Partner’s Q1 2024 Emerald Circle tier.
  • In order to be eligible to participate in the lucky draw, Driver-Partners will need to fulfill the following conditions (Qualification Criteria”):
    • Must be an active Driver-Partner in Singapore.
    • All transport service types, except Standard Taxi and GrabHitch, completed during the Campaign Period will be counted towards the qualification criteria (“Eligible Rides”). 
    • Eligible rides during the Campaign Period, have to be auto-accept rides.
    • Driver-Partners need to have ≥ 90% AR, ≤ 10% CR, 4.6 ≥ DR for the Campaign Period.
    • Driver-Partners who complete 200 Eligible Rides during the Campaign Period will receive 1X chance at the lucky draw. Driver-Partners who complete 400 Eligible Rides during the Campaign Period will receive 8X chance at the lucky draw. Driver-Partners who complete 450 Eligible Rides during the Campaign Period will receive a 20X chance at the lucky draw.
    • Number of chances at the lucky draw do not stack. For example a Driver-Partner who completes 500 rides during the campaign period will receive 20X chance and not 28X chance at the lucky draw.
  • Lucky Draw winners will be selected through the following method:
    • Driver-Partners who fulfill the Qualification Criteria will be entered into the lucky draw. Separate draws will be conducted for each Emerald Circle tier. 
    • The Lucky Draws for all Emerald Circle tiers will take place on 19 Febuary 2024 at 3pm, at the Organisers’ premises (3 Media Cir., Singapore 138498) , in the presence of an external auditing agency.
    • Driver-Partners will be grouped based on their Q1 24 Emerald Circle tier.
    • Winners for the respective prizes will be selected at random from the pool of entries.
    • Prizes will be drawn in the following order : 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize, 4th-10th prize, 11th-20th prize.
    • Each Driver-Partner can only win 1 prize.
  • Cash prizes will only be credited within 2 working days to the Driver-Partners cash wallet after the collection of fuel vouchers (StarCash).
  • Driver-Partners who do not collect the StarCash from Grab by a designated date provided in the winner communications and/or are not contactable by a Grab representative by 23 February 2024, will forfeit their right to both the cash and StarCash prizes. The prizes may be forfeited (or disposed of, or donated, all at Organisers’ discretion) and the Organisers will not entertain any claims for payment or compensation.
  • The following persons are not eligible to participate in the Contest: All employees (both permanent and fixed term contract) of the Organiser and their immediate family members, Driver-Partners with suspended or banned accounts as of 22 January 2024.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash/credit in kind. Grab may, at its sole and absolute discretion, substitute any prize for another prize of similar value, in circumstances that include but are not limited to unavailability of the original prize, illegality or non-feasibility.
  • Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable to a third party.
  • The Organisers reserve the sole and absolute right to disqualify any participant or reject participants deemed ineligible for the Campaign (be it under these Terms & Conditions or if the participant has engaged in a conduct that the Organisers consider fraudulent, inappropriate or unacceptable).
  • Winners will be notified by Grab with instructions on how to claim their prize within 7 days via in-app communications and this Campaign page, along with collection details of the prizes.
  • Should there be a shortage in stock for the prizes, the collection date of your prizes will be updated in Grab’s in-app communication.
  • In claiming the prize, Grab may request for identification documents or further information from you to verify and check the authenticity of the prize winner, to prevent gaming and fraud.
  • By participating in the lucky draw, each participant consents to Grab’s collection, use, disclosure and otherwise processing of his/her personal data (e.g. name, phone number, email address, residential address) to facilitate the execution of the Campaign and lucky draw (including notifying the winners, announcing the winners on Grab’s online platforms, delivery/collection of prizes) and for advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other related purposes without compensation, in accordance with applicable privacy laws and Grab’s Privacy Notice (https://www.grab.com/sg/terms-policies/privacy-notice/)
  • The Organiser reserves the sole and absolute right to withdraw, amend and/or alter any part or the whole terms and conditions of this Campaign at any time without giving any prior notice to the participants.
  • The Organiser’s decisions in any matter in relation to the Campaign shall be final and conclusive. Any request for appeal and review shall not be entertained. 
  • The Organisers shall not be liable for any claims by the participants or be accountable for third-party claims or losses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature, including direct, indirect, third party, consequential or other damages resulting from or related to this contest.
  • The Organiser does not take any responsibility in the case of any event that may prevent the participants from participating in the Campaign or any component thereof, as a result of certain technical restrictions or other limitations or force majeure, which include but is not limited to regulatory events, government directive, government intervention, pandemic, movement control orders, and acts of God etc.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
