To date, because of you, we’ve replaced

200,000

single-use plastic straws

Not all straws have to suck

Every day, between 800-1000 straws are used to fulfil our cravings, in each bubble tea outlet in Singapore. And with over 500 outlets islandwide, that’s a staggering amount of plastic congesting our earth for 200 years.

We love bubble tea just as much as you do and believe it shouldn’t have to cost us the earth. That’s why as a start we’ve worked with our partners at LiHO Tea, PlayMade and Woobbee to replace all plastic straws in their 117 outlets with plant-based ones that are 100% compostable.

It may seem like a small step but it’s one that will make a big difference as we convince other bubble tea brands to trade in their plastic straws for Plantstick straws.

Introducing Grab Plantstick Straw

Made from plant-based materials, Grab Plantstick straws leave no harmful residue. They’re not just made from plants, they’re made for plants too.

Does it work?
Our straws are certified in accordance with EN13432 and ASTM6400 compostable standards and have been heavily tested, passing various tests for biodegradability and toxicity, including the celery and earthworm tests. Meaning lifeforms are not just able to survive, but thrive in soil our straws have decomposed in.
