While we implement a no-stacking policy to promote safe distancing, we understand that it has been challenging to maintain your Hitch Club status, especially for Pros and Champs.

That is why we are lowering the Hitch Club tier requirements* to ensure that the higher tiers are much more attainable and you can continue to enjoy the respective benefits. 

For Pros and Champs, you can now maintain your tiers without stacking by driving consistently. For Rookies and Go-Getters, it’s now easier to attain the higher tiers.

We have your best interests at heart by ensuring that Hitch will continue to be rewarding without compromising on safety. We are working hard behind the scenes to deliver many great deals, benefits and initiatives to spur everyone on! 

*This update will take effect for Q3 and Q4 2020 only.

Q: Is the Hitch Club tier requirement change permanent? Will the point system change once we enter Phase 3?

A: No, it is not permanent and will only be applied for Q3 and Q4 2020. 

We are working closely with authorities to determine if there will be any change to the existing GrabHitch’s guidelines should Phase 3 be implemented. Rest assured that the Hitch team has the best interest of our drivers (and riders) and will propose suitable measures accordingly.

Q: Is there any change to the number of No-Show Guarantee claims and Platform Fee discount for Pros and Champs?

A: No, there is no change to the number of No-Show Guarantee claims and Platform Fee discount for Pros and Champs.

Q: Will my Platform fee discount and No-Show Guarantee claims be revised for Q3 (Jul-Sep) if I am upgraded due to the tier requirement change? 

A: No, it will not be revised.

Assuming you are a Go-Getter and got upgraded to Pro on 1st Oct, your Pro entitlements will start on the 1st Oct and cannot be backtracked for Q3. 

The same applies for drivers who are Pro and got upgraded to Champ in Q4.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.
