  Terms & Conditions:

  • “Grab $10,000 quiz” (“the Campaign”) is organised by GrabCar Pte. Ltd and its affiliates (“Grab”) and will run from 25 Oct 2023 to 10 Nov 2023 and is open to all Grab users in Singapore. 
  • Each person is only eligible to win 1 prize for the Campaign. 
  • Prizes will be awarded accordingly:
    • 1st prize: 6-months worth of GrabFood vouchers.
    • 2nd prize: 3-months worth of GrabFood vouchers.
    • 3rd prize: 1-month worth of GrabFood vouchers.
    • 4th to 50th prize: $50 worth of GrabFood vouchers each, disbursed in 2 x $25 vouchers. 
    • 350 Lucky draw participants: $15 GrabFood voucher each.
  • The top 50 prizes will be awarded based on the final quiz leaderboard ranking, at the end of the Campaign. 
  • Top three prizes are calculated based on $20 GrabFood vouchers per day multiplied by the number of days for the duration of the time they have won. 
  • For the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize, winners will be notified by Grab via email with instructions on how to claim their prize within 30 working days of the end of the Campaign, via email. Winners will need to reply to this email as proof of acknowledgement to claim their prize. 
  • If the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners fail to reply within the stipulated time frame stated in the notification email, their prize will be forfeited and Grab will not be choosing a replacement winner for the Campaign.
  • For the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners, vouchers will be credited to the winner’s Grab account as determined by Grab in its sole discretion. 
  • For the 4th-50th prize and lucky draw winners, winners will be notified via email and vouchers will be emailed to the winners in the form of promo codes. 
  • Lucky draw winners will be selected randomly in the presence of an external auditing agency. The draw will take place on 15 Nov 2023 at 3pm at Grab’s premises. 
  • Employees of Grab are not eligible for the top 3 prizes of the Campaign.
  • Winners will be notified on 16 Nov 2023 and the names of winners will be published via Grab’s social media platforms. 
  • Grab reserves the sole and absolute right to end the Campaign or any component thereof at any time, without giving prior notice or compensation in cash or in kind.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash/credit in kind.
  • Grab reserves the right to change the prizes to items of similar value without prior notice or notification.
  • Prizes are valid for the duration of their validity period. Vouchers given out under the Campaign or any component thereof may be subject to separate terms and conditions.
  • There will be no extension for winners who do not utilise their vouchers during the validity period indicated in their vouchers. 
  • Grab’s decisions in any matter in relation to the Campaign shall be final and conclusive. Any request for appeal and review shall not be entertained. 
  • Grab reserves the sole and absolute right to vary the Terms and Conditions, suspend, or cancel this campaign at any time without giving any prior notice.
  • By entering the Campaign, you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions of entry and you acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions and decisions of Grab without limitation or qualification. 
  • Grab reserves the sole and absolute right to disqualify any participant or reject participants deemed ineligible for the Campaign (be it under these Terms & Conditions or if the participant has engaged in a conduct that Grab considers fraudulent, inappropriate or unacceptable).
  • Grab does not take any responsibility in the case of any event that may prevent the participants from participating in the Campaign or any component thereof, as a result of certain technical restrictions or other limitations or force majeure, which include but is not limited to regulatory events, government directive, government intervention, pandemic, movement control orders, and acts of God etc.
  • By participating in the Campaign, each participant consents to Grab’s collection, use, disclosure and otherwise processing of his/her personal data (e.g. name, phone number, email address, residential address) to facilitate the execution of the Campaign and lucky draw (including notifying the winners, announcing the winners on Grab’s online platforms, delivery/collection of prizes) and for advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other related purposes without compensation, in accordance with applicable privacy laws and Grab’s Privacy Notice (https://www.grab.com/sg/terms-policies/privacy-notice/).

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
