How can I be enrolled into the programme?

New Hirer-Partners who rent a Toyota Prius Hybrid from GrabRentals from DD MM 2024 – DD MM 2024.

Existing GrabRentals Hirer-Partners who are selected for this programme.

New Grab Driver-Partners will be automatically enrolled in this program upon renting selected vehicle models from GrabRentals.

Existing GrabRentals Hirer-Partners who are selected will be sent an invitation to opt in for this programme. A confirmation message will be sent upon successful enrollment.

How are online hours calculated?

Online Hours are determined by the duration of time that GrabRentals Drivers are actively using the Grab Driver app after tapping “Go Online”*.

*Online status is defined as:

  1. “Online” on Grab Driver App and waiting to be assigned Grab jobs
  2. “Online” on the Grab Driver App and on an active job carrying a passenger

How do I check my progress?

For Hirer-Partners who have opted in for the programme, you can check your progress with the following steps:

Step 1:

In your Grab Driver App, tap on Rental

Step 2:

Upon successful enrolment, you will see this screen when you are accessing the Grab Driver app. Tap on Let’s go

Step 3:

Rebates status will be displayed on the Rental homepage for you to keep track. For more information, tap on Details.

Step 4:

On this screen, you’ll find information about the programme, including details on rebate levels and eligibility criteria.

How do I know if I don't meet the rebate requirements?

To qualify for the rebates, you will need to clock the minimum online hours required, and ensure that your AR ≥ 90% and ≤ CR 10%.

A reminder will appear above your Rebate progress if you don’t meet the requirements. Work on improving your AR and CR before the week ends to qualify for your rebate!

If one of the criteria is not fulfilled, we’ll clearly specify it above your Rebate progress.

If both criteria are not fulfilled, you may tap “Details” to see how you’re doing for each criteria.

Online hours will be tracked from Monday, 12:00 AM and ends on Sunday, 11:59 PM in that same week. The online hours will then refresh again on the next Monday, 12:00 AM.

The programme will start on the following Monday, 12:00 AM after your contract has started, and the programme will end on the last Sunday, 11:59 PM of your contract

E.g.  If your contract starts on 14 Feb (Wednesday) and will end on 14 May (Tuesday), you are only eligible for rebates from 19 Feb (Monday) to 12 May (Sunday).

To qualify for the rebates, your Acceptance Rate has to be 90% and above, and Cancellation Rate 10% and below. The rebate amount will depend on the number of online hours you clock in a week.

For each full week (Monday to Sunday) that you qualify, your rebate will be paid out to your Cash Wallet by the second working day of the following week, provided that you still have a valid rental agreement at the point of payout.

E.g. For the week starting 4 March 2024 (Monday), the rebates for the week of 4 to 10 March will be paid by 12 March 2024 (Tuesday).

You can view it on the Rental page in your Grab Driver app. Your online hours and rebates status will be displayed on the Rental homepage for you to keep track.

No, GrabRentals Driver-Partners must fulfill the minimum hours as stipulated to qualify for the payout.

*Weekly Online Hours are computed based on calendar week, from Monday 12.00am to Sunday 11.59pm. 
  1. To participate in the Online Hours Rental Rebate Programme (the “Programme”) and be eligible for the rebates, you must be an existing Hirer-Partner that is registered under the Programme.
  2. The above rebates will be paid to Hirer-Partners on a weekly basis (by the second working day of the following calendar week) if they have satisfied the following requirements in the relevant week:
    1. Minimum number of Online Hours, as set out above
    2. Acceptance Rate: >=90%
    3. Cancellation Rate: <=10%
    4. Have an active rental agreement with GrabRentals on the payout date.
  3. Hirer-partners are only eligible for rebates in weeks where they have a valid rental agreement in effect for the entire calendar week. (eg. if Hirer-partner’s rental agreement commences on a Wednesday or terminates on a Wednesday, they will not be eligible to receive rebates for that calendar week)
  4. The rebates will cease with immediate effect once the Hirer-Partner has fulfilled the Minimum Rental Period.
  5. In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between these terms and the rental agreement, these terms shall control and govern the rights and obligations of the Hirer-Partner in relation to Hirer-Partner’s participation in the Programme. 
  6. GrabRentals reserves the right to withdraw, amend, alter or terminate, in whole or in part, the Programme, rebates and/or these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice and without compensation.
  7. GrabRentals reserves the sole and absolute right to withhold rebates, or deem Hirer-Partner ineligible for rebates at any point in time, if Hirer-Partner has engaged in any conduct that GrabRentals considers fraudulent, inappropriate or unacceptable

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
