- What is the “Shell Fuel Card”?
This is a card issued by Shell in collaboration with GrabFinance. Only eligible Driver-Partners can apply for this card. With this card, Driver-Partners will be able to purchase fuel for their vehicles at discounted rates up to a prescribed card limit. Drivers will be able to pay weekly fuel costs in 7 daily payments.
The payment for the purchase of fuel using the Shell Fuel Card for a week, from Thursday to Wednesday, will be automatically deducted the following Monday in 7 equal daily instalments. For example, a payment deduction made on Monday, 7th September would be for transactions between Thursday, 27th August - Wednesday, 2nd September.
Drivers should receive a usage SMS for transactions made in the previous week on the same day that payment deductions begin.
- Is this a credit card, debit card or a prepaid card? How does it work?
None of the above. The Shell Fuel Card is neither a Credit Card, Debit Card nor a prepaid card.
The Shell Fuel Card does not require pre-funding in your Driver Wallet unlike a Debit Card. The card also has no interest rates, minimum payments or additional fees like a Credit Card would have.
The Shell Fuel Card is issued by Shell to allow the Grab Driver-Partner to purchase fuel from the Shell. GrabFinance consolidates Grab Drivers’ daily payments and pays Shell on behalf of Grab Driver-Partners.
- How do I pump and save with the Shell Fuel Card?
Please present the card at the cashier, and key in your PIN when prompted.

- Am I eligible for this programme?
This service is currently only available to selected driver and delivery-partners who fulfill the following requirements:
- Have a good history of payments with Grab
- Driven with Grab for more than 3 months
- Have monthly Grab earnings of at least $500
*Please note that satisfying the criteria gives you a higher chance but does not guarantee eligibility for our products.
- Is the Shell Fuel Card free and how long will it take to receive my Shell Fuel Card?
The Shell Fuel Card is completely free with no additional charges or hidden fees. You’ll only need to pay for your fueling expenses each time you pump.
Once your application is approved, we’ll send your card to you within 7 to 11 working days, so look out for it!
- I have applied but have not received the card or PIN.
Card Collection details will be sent to eligible Driver Partner via SMS once your application has been approved.
A separate SMS will also be sent to you with your 4-digit PIN. Please store it in a safe location and DO NOT share your PIN with anyone.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.
As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.
Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
