Terms and conditions

  1. “GrabFood Dine Out Deals Free Meal Lucky Draw” (“the Campaign”) is organised by GrabTaxi Pte Ltd and GrabCar Pte. Ltd. (“the Organisers”) and is open to all Grab users only.
  2. The Campaign will run in Singapore from 2 December 2024 to 31 December 2024.  
  3. Participants must use any Dine Out Discount or Dine Out Voucher from any  “GrabFood Dine Out” merchants to qualify. 
  4. Participants who spend below $30 will earn 1 entry, while those who spend $30 or more will earn 2 entries. Qualifying amounts indicated are after any promotions are applied. 
  5. Three winners will be selected each week to receive a full refund of their bill amount, subject to a maximum cap of $300 per bill. The refund will be credited to their GrabPay Wallet as GrabPay credits.
  6. All winners will be notified by Grab via in-app communications and this campaign page on 31 January 2025. GrabPay Credits will be deposited back into their GrabPay Wallet within 3-5 working days upon winner(s) announcement. 
  7. By entering the campaign, you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions of entry and you acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions and decisions of the judges and the Organisers without limitation or qualification. Prizes or rewards given out under this Campaign or any component thereof may be subject to separate terms and conditions.
  8. Winners are drawn at random. Winners will be notified by Grab with instructions on how to claim their prize. In claiming the prize, Grab may request for identification documents or further information from you to verify and check the authenticity of the prize winner, to prevent gaming and fraud.
  9. By participating in this campaign, you hereby deemed to have consented to Grab and/or such third-party appointed by Grab for collecting and processing your personal data to give full effect to this campaign, for the express purpose of informing you of your win and/or informing the public of a winner, including but not limited to sending communications to notify of a win (in-app push notification or email), announcing your name, and/or releasing a photograph of you as the Prize winner in our winner’s announcement, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and Grab’s group Privacy Notice(available at https://www.grab.com/sg/terms-policies/privacy-policy/).
  10. The Organiser reserves the sole and absolute right to vary the Terms and Conditions, suspend, or cancel this campaign at any time without giving any prior notice.
  11. The Organisers shall not be liable for any claims by the participants or be accountable for third-party claims or losses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature, including direct, indirect, third party, consequential or other damages resulting from or related to this contest.
  12. The Organiser does not take any responsibility in the case of any event that may prevent the participants from participating in the Campaign or any component thereof, as a result of certain technical restrictions or other limitations or force majeure, which include but is not limited to regulatory events, government directive, government intervention, pandemic, movement control orders, and acts of God etc.
  13. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. Grab may, at its sole and absolute discretion, substitute any prize for another prize of similar value, in circumstances that include but are not limited to unavailability of the original prize, illegality or non-feasibility.
  14. Employees of Grab are not eligible for the Lucky Draw.
  15. Available only on the latest Grab app in App Store and Google Play.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
