All parts are independent of each other. You may qualify to participate/win in each part if you meet the qualifying and winning criteria.

Team Mission is a competition where participating Delivery-Partners will form teams of 6 to accumulate as many Mission Gems as possible in Singapore within the selected timings. Team with the highest GEMS collected will win in their respective categories! The competition will run from 20 Dec 2021 to 2 Jan 2022. *Opt-in is REQUIRED to join the competition. Details below.

Team Requirement

[Delivery-Partners only: Partners from the Transport platform doing GrabFood/GrabMart/GrabExpress are not eligible to participate] Form a team of exactly 6 members within these categories. Your team cannot have more than 2 Sapphire delivery-partners (based on Dec 2021 tier). 

For fair competition, you’ll compete within 3 broad categories:

Category 1: Bike & Car & Van

Category 2: Cycle & PAB

Category 3: Runner & PMA

E.g. If you belong in Category 1, your team can consist of 6 Bikes OR 6 Cars OR a mix of Bikes/Cars/Vans

* Team composition must stay the same throughout the competition period. Any changes done to the team during the competition period will result in disqualification from the competition.  * Each team can only consist of either Bike and/or Cars and/or Vans OR Bicycles and/or PABs OR Runners and/or PMAs depending on which category they are a part of.

How to Join?

(A) I have found my teammates. What is the next step? Great! Appoint a representative/leader from your group to fill up the interest form. Only 1 delivery-partner from each team needs to fill up the form. Please ensure that the team created has a maximum of 2 Sapphire Delivery-Partners. Teams that do not meet this requirement will not be allowed to join the competition. Application results will be communicated to you by 17 Dec.

GROUP APPLICATION <form opens 6 Dec>

(B) I want to join the competition but I cannot find any teammates. Help! Want to participate in the competition but have no contacts to form a team with? No worries, just fill up the form and we’ll help to group you up! (While we will try our best to group you up based on the team requirements, we seek your understanding that we cannot guarantee a successful group formation. Do continue to expand your network in the meantime and form your own groups if possible!) In order to facilitate communication among team members, a Telegram group will be created (by Grab), with all team members. This means that your Telegram details will be made known to the other 5 delivery-partners within the group. Application results will be communicated to you by 17 Dec.

Scoring System

It’s all about TEAMWORK. The more trips you & your team complete strategically, the higher your accumulation of Mission Gems.  Depending on the time of the day and type of order, you can score a range of Mission Gems per completed trip. Here’s how the Gems vary over the course of the day:

Prizes & Winning Criteria

The team with the highest GEMS collected will win in their respective categories. You are able to view your team’s ranking via the leaderboard in-app real-time.    Winners will be notified by 7 Jan. Cash awards will be equally divided amongst the 6 team members and paid out to individual accounts by 14 Jan.   

FAQs

Can I be in two different teams? Each delivery-partner can only be in 1 team. Both teams will be disqualified if it is found that they have a common participant. Can I substitute any members? One formed, the team will be fixed and Delivery-Partners are not able to switch teams within the competition period. What happens if one of my team members wants to leave the group during the competition period? Modification of the team once the competition starts will result in the entire team being disqualified. My team member is not contributing to the team during the competition, will he/she receive a penalty? There will be no penalty for member(s) with low or no performance. I am the only person contributing to the team’s point total, can the cash prize be awarded based on the individual’s effort? No, the incentive prize for the team winner will be awarded to all team members. All members are advised to encourage and help each other to complete more trips.

  • Grab reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and terms and conditions without notice in the event of any breach of applicable law and regulation or any other event outside of Grab’s control.
  • In the event of any dispute, including but not limited to a dispute regarding the terms and conditions or the conduct, results, selection of winner and all other matters relating to the promotion, Grab’s decision shall be final and binding and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into nor shall the same be challenged in any court of law.

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
