Race Weekend 2026 Guide
From 2 Oct (Friday) to 4 Oct (Sunday), race fans from around the world will be heading to Sepang International Circuit!
This means a lot of Grab rides will be booked to and from the area, and we want to make sure that you’re ready to make the most of it.
Read on for more information, practical tips, and special instructions for the weekend!

- Mitsui Premium Outlet
- Charter Field Town
- KLIA Bus Holding Area (Temporary holding area)
As there will be limited access into Sepang International Circuit (SIC) during Race Weekend, e-hailing vehicles (except for selected vehicles) will not be able to pick up or drop off at the venue.
Passengers will be dropped off or picked up at one of four Shuttle Hubs, where they can take a free bus ride to and from SIC:
- Grab’s Pin & Ride Zone in Long-Term Car Park (LTCP)
- Mitsui Premium Outlet
- KLIA Terminal 2
- Bandar Baru Enstek (SK Kompleks KLIA)
Note: If your passengers are unaware, please inform them that there will be shuttle buses transporting spectators to and from SIC.
Pin & Ride (JustGrab bookings only) will be utilised for bookings from LTCP only.

Introducing Grab Pin & Ride (only at Long-Term Car Park)
What is Pin & Ride?
Pin & Ride is a new feature that assigns driver-partners bookings through a queue system, and requires passengers to provide a Pin upon entering the vehicle. This queue is separate from the KLIA queue.
- Enter special Grab LTCP entrance, head to Pin holding area (see map below) to enter the Pin queue (use GrabMaps as there are special instructions on route to follow)
- When assigned a booking, you will receive a nudge. Proceed to the pick-up area and follow marshall instructions to your passenger
- Key in the 4-digit code provided by the passenger and begin your booking as usual
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Ensure sufficient balance in your cash wallet for cash bookings (e.g. RM100)
- You cannot be in two queues at the same time. If you are in a KLIA queue, you need to move your vehicle towards the Pin holding area (in LTCP) to automatically join the Pin queue. DO NOT CLICK ‘LEAVE QUEUE’, OR ELSE YOU WILL ENTER A COOLDOWN PERIOD OF 2 HOURS
- Do not reject or ignore the booking when it has been assigned. By entering the Pin queue, please commit to the assigned job
- Booking details including the destination and fare are displayed after the Pin has been keyed in. Minimum fare of RM60
- Only a 20 min break is allowed while in queue, or else your position will be forfeited.
Where do I join Pin & Ride?
Upon entering the LTCP holding area, our system will automatically include you in the Pin queue to receive bookings through Pin & Ride.

By participating in Pin & Ride bookings, you agree to the conditions listed above.

Race Weekend Tips
Brace yourself for a busy weekend with high earning potential by following these tips:
- Be aware of road disruptions throughout Race Weekend, as some routes may be diverted by the relevant officials.
- Familiarise yourself with the schedule to know when demand will be high.
- Be sure to fill in enough petrol for a full day of driving.
- Prepare yourself for long hours on the road by getting enough rest and packing enough water or snacks!
- Prepare for the unpredictable weather: Wear a mask, bring a fan, prepare an umbrella
- Ensure that the condition of your vehicle is as ready as you are to spend the long weekend on the road!
- If possible, prepare a higher amount in your Cash Wallet than usual for cash booking purposes.
- Passengers from around the world will be booking Grab, so be sure to show them Malaysian hospitality!

Race Weekend
Only selected driver-partners are allowed to pick-up or drop-off at SIC.
Please check if the Standard (From LTCP) service type is on. If it is, and the issue persists, please approach a Marshal for assistance.
Unfortunately, due to the high traffic in and around Sepang, there are no waiting area for On-Demand Bookings. Please do join the KLIA Queue.
Pin & Ride
No. You can only join one (1) queue at any given time.
No. You should not click “Leave KLIA Queue” in-app. Just drive towards the Pin Queue area.
There is a cool down period after leaving a queue. You would have to drive out of the Pin Queue area and wait for the cool down period before rejoining again.
You will be nudged in-app towards the Holding area when there are passenger bookings. Please adhere to the on-ground marshals instructions as well.
Please move towards the Pin Queue zone to be eligible.
Please join the KLIA Queue, especially the KLIA Queue at Landside or Bus Holding Area (Temporary).
Yes you can, depending on bookings from Passengers. Please join a KLIA Queue.
