Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

A POI is a specific location on the map that is used for pick-up or drop-off pins. Missing POIs means a venue’s pick-up/drop-off pin does not exist in the Grab app.

An accepted POI is a POI submission that meets the following requirements:

1. New POI (did not exist before)

2. Correct name and spelling (please indicate area name for POI that has many branches)

3. Correct and full address

4. Accurate location

5. Not a duplicate of any existing POI

6. Submission includes pictures for faster reviewing process

 

7. Pictures are not from the internet and must be related to the POI

To see the minimum number you need to achieve, click the Help button at the top right corner on the Map Your City page.

On the Map Your City page, click on “Contributions” to view all of your POI submissions.

There are two ways to find out if a POI is an already existing POI:

1. On the Add New Places page, click the button and grey pins will appear around your current location. These grey pins indicate existing POIs in that area.

2. When you type the name of the POI that you want to add, a list of suggested places will appear. The places listed indicate existing POIs in that area.

The reviewing process usually takes around 7 to 21 working days.

On the Map Your City page, click on “Contributions” to view all of your POI submissions. Click the button on top right corner and click on “Accepted” to see accepted POIs.

You will receive the reward for every accepted POI via your cash wallet. The rewards amount will be shown in your weekly statement as the payment will be done on a weekly basis. If you do not receive your payment, please reach out to us via Help Centre for further assistance.

Your submission may be rejected due to insufficient or incorrect data. Please refer to the ‘Not accepted’ tab in “Contributions” to find out more.

Here are some of the tips to increase your chances of getting your submission approved.

•  Use the button on the Add New Places page to check on existing POIs in the area.

•  Ensure that the name and address of the place are correct.

•  The name of the place must not contain inappropriate words or unknown characters: e.g. $%^&*(

•  Upload a clear and accurate photo of the place you are submitting.

The reviewing process usually takes around 7 to 21 working days. It may take up to additional 25-30 working days before you can see the submitted POI reflected in the Grab app.

5. The “RM8 rebate” will be awarded instantly with a minimum transaction of RM88 with GrabPay at all outlets of AEON Co, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime, AEON Wellness; The rebate can be found under “My Rewards”. Rebate must be redeemed by clicking “use now” under “My Rewards” 30 days from the date of issuance.
6. The campaign will cease once all redemptions have been fully awarded or at the expiration of the campaign period, whichever is earlier.
7. Offer is based on a first come first served and while stocks last basis only.
8. Grab and AEON Group shall not be under any obligation to inform users, on any communication channels once the offer has been fully redeemed.
9. Offer is only available for AEON Co, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime, and AEON Wellness physical stores purchases at cashier counter only via GrabPay Wallet; offer is not applicable for online or GrabMart purchases.
10. Offer is not exchangeable for cash or replacements.
11. Offer is not valid with any other voucher, discount or promotion.
12. Grab and AEON Group reserve the right to alter, extend or terminate the promotion, or amend the terms and conditions at its sole discretion at any time without prior notice. In case of any disputes directly or indirectly arising from the promotion, the decision of Grab and AEON Group shall be final.
13. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia and any dispute arising out of or in connection with promotion shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Malaysia.
14. This rebate is non-transferable to any party.
