Casa Vostra is a cozy Italian restaurant, located at Raffles City Shopping Centre. Founded by Chef Antonio Miscellaneo, who also started La Bottega (my other love 🫶🏻), Casa Vostra is known for its authentic Italian dishes made from scratch with high-quality ingredients. The menu features pizza, pasta, charcuterie, and more, all at reasonable prices, with most dishes under $30. I waited two hours for a seat at lunch, and it was worth it! Both the pizza and pasta were fantastic—do yourself a favour and try the pizza with burrata!

Gotta go early to beat the peak dinner hours! Freshly made pizza and pasta where you can see the oven and pasta being made. Ordered the truffle pizza and crab pasta. These were our favourites! The pizza dough is airy light and chewy, perfect with fresh black truffle, truffle oil, mushrooms, cheese and thyme. Shout out to the crab tagliatelle for its fresh crab meat chunks tossed with garlic, basil, chilli flakes and extra virgin olive oil 🌟🌟

Not a fan of queuing, but this Casa Vostra is worth it. Even did it twice haha! My 2nd visit here and it was about a 30-min wait. Had to following: - prosciutto e rucola pizza - sausage pappardelle - calamari fritti - baked scamorza

Lots of hype for this restaurant, always long q so i have high expectation🌟 But i wouldn’t say the foods are very exceptional seeing the waiting hours. First of all, the herb olive oil provided at every table makes everything tastes better 😂 For the pizza , like the Pizza crust, thin and soft. Yet you can taste good dough smell from the pizza bones, recommend to dip with the olive oil 👍🏻 Porchetta - not sure if it was overcooked because it was a little bit dry. Broccolini - Spicy and so flavorful! Must order Vongole Linguine - You can taste the freshness of the pasta and the soup was very mild and light. If you have ordered some flavorful pasta then may consider to order this to balance out
Fortuna Italian Trattoria - Craig Road
Fortuna Italian Trattoria - Craig Road
7, Craig Road, Outram, 089667
Blending Sicilian soul with Neapolitan flair, Fortuna has carved its niche as Singapore's first hybrid trattoria-osteria. Co-founded by Michelin-trained chef Omar Tutino and globally ranked pizzaiolo Giorgio Sorce, this cosy 50-seater dazzles with wood-fired theatrics. Start with their signature pane di casa – airy bread doused in zesty salmoriglio – paired with creamy burrata and punchy homemade chilli oil. Pastas, crafted from semolina and water Napoli-style, shine in dishes like mafalde with slow-cooked ragu and torched provolone. But the star remains the 50-hour-proofed pizzas: opt for crispy mortadella-topped fried dough or the bold Sitari with wagyu tartare. Save room for the Fortunamisu, a coffee-kissed twist on tiramisu. Between ever-evolving menus and the restaurant's vibrant atmosphere, Fortuna brings a sun-kissed slice of Southern Italy to Tanjong Pagar.

Tried Fortuna for my birthday dinner & was pleasantly surprised! Crust was perfectly crisp yet chewy, and the toppings were generous and packed with flavour. We got the half and half and even the classic margherita was so yummy!! Pair it with a glass of wine like we did, and you’ve got yourself a solid meal. Wouldn’t say they have the best pizza I’ve tried tho, but definitely up there in rankings!!!

Visited an Italian-run pizza restaurant with great service—definitely make a reservation because it gets busy. Margherita pizza: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Margherita was nicely done with that traditional oven flavour. There was a lot of cheese which was great! Mortadella Fried Pizza: ⭐️ The fried pizza was a bit too oily and hard for my liking. Tiramisu: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I think the tiramisu is not bad, but I have had better tiramisu at other places. Still, the overall experience felt authentic, and it’s a solid spot if you’re craving real Italian-style pies.

Ventured into Fortuna Italian Trattoria for a friend’s birthday The decor is chic, with an inviting atmosphere. Service was amazing as staff were super friendly and attentive! Here's what we savored: - Mortdella Pizza: Fresh topping with a good brunch from the pistachios, though I would have appreciated a bit more sour or sweet flavours to balance out the saltiness from the prosciutto - Beef Ragu Mafalde: Bursting with flavour, pasta was al-dente - Wood-fired Bread with Ricotta Dip: Creamy and flavourful, the bread went very well with the flavours of the dip - this was our favourite! Ideal for an intimate dinner or a gathering

Really crowded pizzeria with clean, simple pizzas. The crust of pizzas were relatively thin which I liked. Pizzas are massive, 1 pizza and some starters will likely be enough for two. We got served rather quickly after our orders were taken. We also tried the meatballs which reminded us of Italy. Would be back again but definitely recommend reserving in advance.

The interior is more contemporary compared to the original Naples site: while respecting tradition, it offers a modern, comfortable dining space in Club Street’s lively district. Because of its reputation and novelty in the region, expect it to get busy — reservations are advisable, especially for dinner. The wagon-wheel style pizza is best enjoyed soon after it arrives: given its size and thin crust, it may lose ideal texture if left too long. For a relaxed visit, try lunch (12pm–3pm) when the crowd may be lighter. According to their site, the Singapore hours are: Mon–Sat 12:00–15:00 and 18:00–23:00; closed Sunday.

sourdough pizza... amongst hdbs? envious of those who can get this downstairs their block 😅 i recall being quite impressed cos this pizza joint has quite an extensive range of pizza flavours and it's also high quality. the 2 flavours that called out was: 1. potato cheese (love me some carbs on carbs) $26.50 2. mushroom & truffle oil ($27.50) - btw this is vegan! i personally enjoyed the mushroom pizza more (it's just my kind of go-to taste profile). in general, their sourdough crust is good - chewy and not overly burnt (iykyk). worth a visit if u're in the area! side note: there was 2 of us (girls) and we couldn't finish 2 pizzas in a single seating, so we had to takeaway. in case anyone was wondering 🤣

In my humble opinion, this cozy spot in Telok Ayer serves up some of the best pizzas in town, perfect for a dinner with friends after a hard week at work. I really enjoyed the Almighty Cheese and Pepperoni & Hot Honey pizzas! Was craving this so badly and my tastebuds were definitely SO satisfied. For sides, we tried the broccolini which was served with a sous vide egg, as well as the maple glazed wing, which was seasoned to perfection. Would recommend!!

My favourite dish of the night would be the Scallop & Pumpkin Risotto ($26). It was extremely rich in flavor, slightly crunchy with a generous sprinkle of hazelnut. The Not So Classic Marg pizza ($24) was well made and good as a sharing dish with 1-2 slices per pax. The Vodka Sugo & Italian Sausage ($24) was decent although I don’t recall seeing any italian sausage in the dish. The Grilled Baby Octopus ($22) was quite chewy and thankfully clean in the head. The only dish I didn’t enjoy would be the Truffle Polpettine ($20); I prefer meatballs from a hawker store / Ikea. Overall, it was a nice meal with good vibes and I used the Grab Dine Out Deals for a 10% discount!

My fav pizza spot! Santi's. Period. Bad day? Pizza is the answer! 🍕 The hot honey pepperoni pizza is a must-try. I’m a regular and also love the “not so classic marg” and the cheese pizza. Their tomato salad is also a regular fav but it’s the same price as a pizza so not happy about that but at least Grab dine out voucher saves $$. If you like pasta, I enjoy their saffron pasta and the clam. The atmosphere is relaxed, no air con. Seating is outside. No frills, perfect for a chill evening. Highly recommend!

4.3(155 reviews)

Since its opening in January 2022, Burrata Joy & Gustavo Lapasta has become a go-to spot for families and friends seeking a delightful culinary experience that's both casual and inviting. Burrata Joy's origins trace back to Garibaldi's kitchen, where it began with simple salad bowls featuring plain burrata, sides, and starters. The name encapsulates the joy of sharing meals with loved ones, a sentiment that burrata, as a communal starter, amplifies. Gustavo Lapasta, the establishment's sister brand, was born out of a yearning for the homemade pastas of Italy during the pandemic. The name pays homage to the comforting flavours of family recipes, now recreated and savoured in Singapore. In short, Burrata Joy and Gustavo Lapasta offer more than just a meal; they provide a heartwarming experience that brings the joy of Italian dining to Singapore.

This pizza takes things up a notch with a perfect blend of crispy, seasoned meats like sausage and pancetta, a beautiful melt of mozzarella, and a robust tomato base. Tried out this place on the recommendation from a foodie friend who said these were the best pizzas in Singapore and it didn’t disappoint! 🎉 We had the: * Newpolitan Acciughe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ * Newpolitan Nduja ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ * Tonnarelli Al Granchio ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ * Panna Cotta ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ All the food and drinks (Negroni and a glass of Amarone) was good but the Newpolitan - which takes ~40 minutes to prepare - stole the show. We didn’t get a chance to try the thicker (and quicker) pizza variants due to limited stomach space but will do so next time.

La Bottega Enoteca in Joo Chiat is a gem. Loved the Margherita pizza made fresh before our eyes—crisp, flavorful, perfection. The burrata was creamy bliss, and the tiramisu? Truly to die for. Went with my son and he enjoyed it so much we returned the next week. This time, we tried the layered aubergine cheese lasagna—rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. Only drawback is that the service feels a bit hurried but the food trumps everything else. Will definitely be back again.
Etna Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria - Duxton Road
Duxton Road, 49/50, 089513
Nestled in an elegant and cosy setting along Duxton Hill, Etna serves up modern Italian cuisine with a Sicilian touch. Dining here is almost like dining in a good friend’s living room — the intimate 40-seater is warmly lit, and has a homely vibe to it. For appetisers, the Parmigiania de Melanzane is a good way to whet the appetite, with its baked eggplants layered with mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. The meaty aubergines are soft, bathed in a sweet tomato sauce perfect for dipping into with some focaccia bread. Pastas here are simple yet delicious. A popular dish is the lobster ravioli, with butter pistachio cream and prawns, as well as the carbonara, which comes with a dollop of caviar and mullet roe, generously sprinkled with a crack of fresh black pepper. Etna’s specialty is the housemade pizzas, with a crispy base that supports fresh ingredients like mushrooms, artichokes and mixed seafood.

Visited GoldenRoy Pizza and honestly the place was unexpectedly hilarious in the best way. The whole shop is covered with portraits of “GoldenRoy,” who is completely AI-generated. It already sets this funny, slightly surreal tone when you walk in. There’s also a big green button you can press, and that’s when things get even funnier — an AI video of GoldenRoy pops up with a super loud explosion sound before he starts explaining the menu. It was so sudden that everyone there turned to look. It’s weird, funny, and kind of brilliant. The pizza itself was solid — crispy base, good amount of cheese — but the whole experience is what makes the place memorable. If you’re up for good pizza plus a bit of unexpected entertainment, GoldenRoy is worth trying.

Overview

An Overview Of The Popularity Of Pizza In Singapore

Singapore's culinary landscape is a melting pot of global cuisines, and pizza has carved out a delectable space in the hearts of both locals and expatriates. The city’s love for pizza extends far beyond the standard slice – from Neapolitan fire-baked masterpieces to creative, locally inspired toppings. As the pizza scene thrives, so does the competition among restaurants, each striving to offer a slice that’s not easily forgotten. Pizza is ubiquitous in Singapore, perfect for casual dinners, group get-togethers, or family celebrations. With the country’s penchant for food adventures, pizza restaurants in Singapore continually innovate, combining traditional methods with local influences. The result? A dynamic range of pizzerias, each with its own ambience, specialties, and loyal following.

Exploring Best Pizza Places With Reviews To Visit

Singapore’s pizza scene offers a diverse range of experiences, with each spot standing out through unique flavors, preparation techniques, and ambiance. For those seeking authenticity, Neapolitan-style pizzas with chewy crusts, tangy tomato sauce, and creamy mozzarella deliver a true taste of Italy. These pizzerias often prioritize simplicity, allowing high-quality ingredients to take center stage in a cozy yet unpretentious setting. Artisan-style pizzas with thicker crusts and gourmet toppings like truffle salami and house-made ricotta provide a refined twist, often served in rustic, open-kitchen spaces that showcase the craftsmanship behind each creation.

For a more modern take, customizable pizzas allow diners to build their own creations, choosing from different doughs, sauces, and toppings. These pizzas are often paired with craft beers in vibrant, contemporary spaces, perfect for families or casual outings. Other spots specialize in thin, wood-fired pizzas with creative toppings, offering semi-alfresco dining for romantic evenings or relaxed gatherings. Trendy locations with sourdough-based pizzas and bold flavors like smoked duck or miso-glazed mushrooms cater to those seeking Instagrammable settings and unique combinations. Fusion pizzas inspired by local flavors, such as sambal seafood or laksa, also add an adventurous twist for bold taste-seekers.

Whether you’re looking for a classic Italian experience, a gourmet indulgence, or a playful fusion of flavors, Singapore’s pizza spots cater to every preference. From family-friendly environments to edgy, industrial-chic spaces, the city’s pizzerias promise unforgettable dining experiences for all occasions.

Why It Matters

Essential Features Of Excellent Pizza: Crust Styles And Toppings

The foundational element of any pizza is its crust. In Singapore, you’ll find a delightful diversity:

  • Neapolitan: Wood-fired with a chewy, blistered crust and tender interior. Minimal toppings let the dough shine.
  • Roman-style: Thin, crispy bases with vibrant sauces, usually served in squares.
  • American Deep-Dish: Hearty, sauce-heavy, and cheese-laden, with a focaccia-like crust.
  • Sourdough: Increasingly popular, offering a tangy flavor and chewy bite, thanks to longer fermentation times.

Toppings also play a crucial role, ranging from classic margherita with fresh basil to unique options like rendang beef, truffle shavings, or locally farmed vegetables. The best pizzerias are those that balance generous toppings with quality cheese, zesty sauces, and just the right bake to the crust.

Summary Of The Essentials In Reviews

For anyone searching for their next pizza fix, here’s a summary of features to weigh in reviews:

  • Quality and Style of Crust: Is it thin and crispy, chewy and airy, or thick and hearty?
  • Selection of Toppings: Are ingredients fresh and inventive, or standard fare?
  • Portion-to-Price Ratio: Is it worth the spend, especially for larger groups or families?
  • Service Excellence: Do diners consistently praise the staff’s friendliness and efficiency?
  • Ambiance and Design: How inviting and comfortable is the space? Is it suited for families, dates, or group gatherings?
  • Cleanliness: An often overlooked but vital factor in customer satisfaction.
  • Unique Menu Offerings: Look for signature pizzas or creative sides that set a place apart.

Reading up-to-date pizza restaurant reviews ensures diners avoid common pitfalls, like soggy crusts or inattentive staff, and steers them towards hidden gems with rave ratings.

In essence, a pizzeria’s success depends on its ability to delight customers with both delicious food and an unforgettable environment. For budding restaurant owners, focusing on these essentials – from pizza quality to inviting design – can transform a good eatery into a city favourite.

Whether you’re a food lover hunting your next favourite slice, a family planning a pizza night, or an entrepreneur seeking inspiration, Singapore’s vibrant pizza scene delivers both on plate and in ambience. With thoughtful reviews and smart design ideas, your pizza experience in the Lion City is bound to be a memorable one.
