Walked along Cecil Street, and we chanced upon Miznon. It has an open kitchen, and a really chill vibe. We were given complimentary pita and tahini dip. The pitas were so soft and pillowy. Had to stop myself from eating too much so that I have enough stomach space for the main course. 😆 Ordered: 1) Magic Mushroom Hummus - $30 2) Run Over Potato - $16 3) Chicken Shwarma - $30 Everything was so good. The hummus was deliciously nutty, and topped with crispy mushrooms. The potatoes - so crispy with a nice tangy sour cream that reminds me of the fillet o fish sauce. YUM. Chicken was so juicy and tender!!! Wrap it with the pita and vegetable and you have yourself a full meal. Portions were all perfect for sharing, can feed at least 4 people per dish. Ambience nice and chill. Grab a drink and your best pals and enjoy a nice Friday night here!! Plus point, I saved some money by buying a grab voucher for this shop hehe. Overall: 8/10

Stepped into Burma Social, and it felt like a secret garden! 🌿 The dimmed lights and the round sign outside gave a warm welcome. The lotus stems were so crispy, I could hear them crunch! The Tibetan momos were a delightful comfort. The Burmese taco, hmm, not my fav. Perfect for a chill night out with friends or a romantic date. 😉

OMG, just had a vegetarian feast at Burma Social! 🤩 First impressions? The place is super chic. Here's what I devoured: 🥟 Tibetan Mog Mog: Silky dumplings. Pure bliss! 🍄 Wok Fried Tofu & Mushroom: A flavor party in my mouth! 🎉 🍚 Thai Red Curry with jasmine rice: Fragrant and so comforting. 🍹 Spicy Kokum drink: Refreshingly zesty. Service was great, and the vibe is perfect for a chill gathering with kids. Highly recommend!👍

With two locations, Blue Label Pizza & Wine offers a modern take on the neighborhood pizzeria. Enjoy a concise menu of premium salads and snacks along with our acclaimed stone-fired pizza. A thoughtful wine list, featuring many of the world’s top producers, and a small, but curated selection of beers, are served by our friendly and knowledgeable staff. We place just as much care into the design and architecture of our restaurants as we do menu offerings and service. This care is evident in the beautifully crafted wood detailing, supple all leather seating and gallery worthy works of art. Stumbled into Blue Label and scored bar seats—best. move. ever. Epic portions, vibey date-night energy, and a chef who served stories and slices. From pizza tips to Japan travel recs, it was dinner and a show. Hot take: order anything cheesy and sit where the action is.

I have been on a spree of restaurants I went to back in 2015. First on the list was Whole Earth at Peck Seah street. The food was good - I’d totally recommend the fried tempeh and the vegan rendang. Slightly on the spicier side, but good nevertheless. Didn’t feel their dessert game was keeping up - we didn’t find anything exciting on the menu. And the hype has died down compared to years ago, but still good to see this restaurant going strong. If you’re in the CBD and looking for a meat free catch up or a quick lunch, this place is a go.

Annapoorna at Kitchener Road is a hidden gem for authentic South Indian vegetarian breakfast. The bright, modern space with its warm lighting and simple decor makes for a welcoming start to the day. I had the Mini Tiffin with Coffee and the Pongal Vada with Sambar, both of which were excellent. The Mini Tiffin is perfect for variety lovers – a well-balanced platter featuring idli, vada, Pongal, Kesari, and a mini dosa, served with fresh coconut chutney and a flavorful sambar. The Pongal Vada Set was a highlight – the Pongal was rich, creamy, and infused with ghee and spices, while the vada was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Paired with aromatic filter coffee, this meal was pure comfort food at its best. Whether you’re craving a quick bite or a leisurely South Indian breakfast, Annapoorna delivers authentic flavors that satisfy. A must-visit for dosa, idli, and Pongal lovers!

One of those spots you end up recommending to everyone—vegan or not. The Kind Bowl serves a fully vegan menu that pulls inspiration from around the region, but the standout? That pho. Deep, savoury, packed with texture. Might sound dramatic but… you’ll probably want two. It’s a laid-back, order-at-the-counter setup—super casual and friendly. Great for a quick bite that still feels nourishing. Also, they’re on Grab if you need a comfort meal for delivery. Big yes.

A lunch gathering with my sibling and parents along Orchard Road brought us here. Took us some time to finally decide on what to eat from the variety of food on the menu 🤤 Had a satisfying and delicious meal. The ginger mushroom spinach dish was not on the menu but it’s everyone’s favourite, so be sure to ask for recommendations of items not on the menu! We love the curry too, super appetizing! 😋 What’s your favourite vegetarian restaurant?
