Attention pistachio and HK style desserts lovers 💚 This pistachio paste is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ To call out they also used zhejiang province small walnut kernels 临安山核桃仁 (that’s already toasted and tasted the same as what you get in China) 🫘 rice mochi with red bean paste = ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ too One of the best I’ve had in Singapore. Osmanthus bits add a nice touch Will visit again to try other items 🥹🥹🥹

Been seeing this all over social media and I finally tried it! Dropped by Yuen Yeung SG near Maxwell on a Tuesday afternoon, and it was pretty quiet — which made the vibes even better ✨ Cozy spot, perfect for a chill break. I came back just for their Fresh Strawberry Milk Snow and it did not disappoint! At $12.40, the portion was huge and honestly so worth it. Topped with coconut ice cream, the shaved ice went really well with the milk pudding cubes (my favourite!!) Strawberries weren’t the sweetest, but they were huge! Definitely a dessert you’ll want to share — we tried to, but still couldn’t finish it 🫣 Refreshing, pretty, and super satisfying. Would totally come back again if I’m around the area ⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪ Note that the queue gets pretty long during evenings so do head there early to avoid the queue!

I am rarely a repeat customer but for YuenYeung 鸳鸯糖水 I keep coming back. Love the Neil Road spot. The cozy ambiance is perfect for a relaxing dessert session. Here's what I savored: - Mango Pomelo Sago: A timeless classic, flawlessly executed. - Homemade taro balls: Indulge yourself! It's chewy and flavorful. $3.5 on the side. Worthy of standing on it own if you like that chewy mochi sensation. - Pistachio dessert: A unique and comforting treat, not overly sweet. Service is pretty simple. Don’t expect the four seasons. Highly recommend for a satisfying dessert experience! There’s a long queue usually so try to go earlier.

I was surprised how creamy and nutty the pistachio paste and well worth the pricey $9 price tag since pistachio flavour is super strong 😮 the shaved ice was different as the ice were abit thicker and not too my liking. the mango was super sweet and juicy, so that made up for it!

Yuen Yeung Chinese tangshui joint located at the Tanjong pagar/maxwell that opened up to much fanfare because of their signature pistachio paste I had the privilege of visiting on 2 separate occasions, trying a total of 4 desserts and have to say this has made it into one of my go to Chinese dessert spots. Out of the four desserts I tried, my favourite actually turned out to be the fermented rice & mochi with Phoenix milk curd. It is such a unique desert and tastes like a melted egg tart - super custardy and silky smooth. The pistachio paste was a close second for me - nutty, earthy and subtly sweet with a creamy richness that lingers on your palette. If you’re willing to brave the queue, I can guarantee that the desserts will not leave you disappointed

Came for the Pistachio cream although colour is very Elphaba because hearsay it’s as good as those you can find in Hong Kong!! Taste Ratings!! 1. Pistachio Paste: 4.5 ⭐️ cause it’s quite expensive for a small bowl 🥲🥹 2. Osmanthus Almond Milk Tofu 5⭐️ 3. Taro Rice Mochi & Black Rice with Milk 3.5⭐️ but A for effort as the mochi is hand made!! Will surely revisit again although you probably have to queue for about 30 mins!! Gotta be patient as they are newly opened but can tell service staffs really try their best :) Most reviewers mentioned that the desserts are not too sweet, and I can verify that 👍

First time trying Yo-chi and I finally get the hype 😍 The froyo base is super creamy and light. It’s not too sweet, just the right kind of refreshing. The acai was tangy and smooth too. It’s a perfect mix with the froyo. 🍇 Toppings: Remember to save some space in your cup because the good stuff is right at the end of the line 👀 They’ve got everything. Like legit everything. Fresh fruits, cookie crumble, mochi bits, and sauces like cookie butter, dark chocolate, and milk chocolate 🍓🍫 The brownies were rich and fudgy (10/10 must-get), and the cookie dough was okay but a bit sweet for me 🍪 💸 Price is on the higher side (around $10/cup) but honestly worth it for the quality and portion! ⏳The queue may seem long but it moves pretty quickly. I queued for 20 minutes on a Friday night, so it should be shorter at other times. Overall, Yo-chi was super satisfying 😋 I’d totally come back when I’m craving something cold but not too heavy ✨ Rating: 8/10

I wanted to be that non-basic cool girl and say yo-chi is overrated. But it isn’t. Go try it. Happy to share that my part-time experience as a yogurt girlie taught me to dispense yogurt with self-control so my total damage was $8 (reasonable imo and no prizes for guessing which was mine). Favourite froyo place in town! Toppings can be customised (please get their warm brownies!) and you pay according to the weight. Did you know that if you buy one of their bowls and use it, you get 10% off everytime, your bowl's weight is waived and they will rinse it for you! Best deal ever!

The answer is no. 1. They have so many flavours to choose from - tried chocolate, original and vanilla (my fav is chocolate and original). 2. The brownie and cookie dough are the must get!! The brownie was so good that I don’t mind filling it up with only brownies. Hahahaha. 3. This was $11.90 - slightly pricer than llao llao but I feel the ingredients are more premium. More variety as well!

This cafe has such a fun and creative concept and the vibe is totally chill! It's a fantastic spot for a casual meetup. However, while I enjoyed the froyo, the taste didn't quite blow me away, especially considering what I paid. It's not bad, but it's middle-of-the-road in terms of value. A worthwhile visit for the ambiance alone!

if it wasn’t obvious from the post im making… tldr: YES. let’s sTART with the TART. haha.. geddit 🍋 lemon meringue tart: the meringue was really on point, the light and airiness of the meringue paired with the zest BOMB of the lemon filling fit so well together. it wasn’t too sweet and the tart was perfectly balanced! the flavours were gooodddd BUT THE HIGHLIGHT omygod the matcha was honestly one of the best ive had.. thick, smooth, not too bitter or sweet. most matchas nowadays have kind of the same flavour profile(?) but this was actually quite unique i was very (pleasantly) surprised 🍽️ dine in note: was quite busy actually and they have a small space, but i went on a weekend so

📍elijah pie, tanjong pagar i recently went down to elijah pies at tanjong pagar to get “free” desserts 🤣 (used my cdc hehe) what i ordered: - nutella pie ($7.90) - yuzu meringue pie ($8.50) - elijah’s apple pie ($14) as someone that isnt a fan of lemon/zesty tarts, the yuzu meringue pie took my breathe away… it was so good, sourness was extremely well balanced! not too sour and not too sweet, in my opinion… the perfect kind of lemon pie🍋 🙏🏼 also tried their new apple pie which was rlly good but got abit jelat towards the end. the nutella pie was not really mind blowing, lacked the hazelnut flavour that i was searching for since its a nutella pie… ‼️please take note cdc is only allowed at the tanjong pagar outlet‼️

At Sweet Cheeks, we take our gelato making very seriously. Our decadent, creamy gelato flavours are churned daily in small batches by a skilled team of dedicated gelato makers, just behind the swinging doors of our scoop shop. From kitchen to cone, each scoop is a result of the hard work of our amazing gelato crafters, who are also the ones who dream up new flavour concoctions, then spend weeks relentlessly tweaking the recipes to perfection. Each and every component that goes into our gelato is also hand-crafted by our gelato makers - honeycomb, toasted cereal, hot fudge, mango puree... you name it! This means that we have 100% control over what goes into every one of our flavours, allowing us to make the best, real tasting gelato.

📍Sweet Cheeks, Potong Pasir Premium Double Scoop ($10) — they’ve got SO many interesting, sweet flavours! The gelato was stretchy, sweet, and creamy. I honestly wanted to sample everything (no cap), but here’s what I picked: 🍃Pandan Kaya Pistachio This just screams PANDAN PANDAN PANDAN in your face. I love how it doesn’t taste artificially sweet like the usual kaya spreads. It’s creamy, buttery, and has a subtle pistachio note that ties everything together. 🍇Dark Rum Vanilla Raisin This paired so well with their eggy waffles. The raisins were soaked in rum, and the ice cream had a nice chocolatey undertone with a less overpowering vanilla taste. 🧇 Waffle ($7.50) leaned more toward the eggy side — soft inside, crispy outside. And I LOVE how they let you drizzle your own syrup sauce

Went to Potong Pasir for dinner, and my friends and I wanted something a little sweet to end off the night. But it was quite late, and most shops were closed. Thankfully we found this little spot that was open till late (11pm!) and WOW the ice cream is very good too! 😋 Probably quite established, as they were partnering with Kinder Bueno and other cult brands like PPP and Antea Social. So you know it’s legittt What we ordered: - Bronte Pistachio Praline 👍 - Toasted Marshmallow Oreo 👍 - Charcoal Honeycomb👌 - Maple Coffee Brew (personally not a coffee lover so didn’t really care much for this!) Damage: not too bad! - $5.50 per scoop, +$1 for premium flavours Cosy vibes especially at night, highly reco as a “sweet cap” 💯

To Us, there’s just something about ice cream. Something about it that’s just bigger than food. Ice cream encourages you to be in the moment. It’s melting and changing every second – you have to pay attention to it, or it disappears. At Lickers, we want to give you that feeling, where you always left feeling happy. This keeps us devoted to making better ice creams and bringing people together. That surely great ice cream served perfectly in this fun-filled space will give you some time away from this busy world, to just absorb yourselves in this good moment. Our sweet cream are solely made from milk, eggs and cream where you find off the market shelves. You may notice our random change in flavours some days, but that all depends on the fresh produce we can find. We are proud to say we don’t use synthetic flavourings or off-the-shelf mixes, giving flavours its brightness that ends on a clean note.

Grab's Guide To Dessert Spots Reviews And Ideas In Singapore

An Overview Of The Desserts Available In Singapore

Singapore’s dessert scene is as vibrant and multicultural as its people. From the nostalgic allure of traditional Nyonya kueh and chewy tau suan to the irresistible innovation of molten dark chocolate lava cakes and Korean bingsu, this city is a dessert paradise for anyone with a sweet tooth. Whether you crave something cold, rich and chocolaty, light and fruity, or chewy and comforting, cafes in Singapore offer an endless range of flavours and textures waiting to delight you.

Classic hawker stands dish up time-honored treats like chendol, ice kacang, and pulut hitam, while dessert cafes in neighbourhood enclaves and the city’s trendiest districts experiment with gelato, mochi waffles, artisanal mille crepe cakes, and syrups infused with exotic spices. You can easily find desserts inspired by Chinese, Malay, Peranakan, Thai, French, Japanese, and even Australian influences, making dessert-hopping a delicious adventure.

Signature Singapore Desserts: Traditional Vs Modern

Singapore’s dessert scene is a delightful blend of traditional and modern creations, offering something for every palate. Traditional desserts hold a nostalgic charm, with offerings such as almond paste, mango sago, black sesame paste, yam paste, and durian-based treats like durian puffs and durian tarts. Comforting Asian-style sweets are widely available at affordable prices, featuring classic flavors that evoke childhood memories. Another highlight is the remixed chendol, where diners can customize their toppings for a refreshing twist on this traditional dessert. These spots celebrate Singapore’s rich heritage with flavors that remain close to the heart and are perfect for those seeking authentic, old-school desserts.

On the modern side, dessert cafes in Singapore have taken creativity to new heights with innovative and Instagram-worthy treats. Artisanal ice cream parlors offer unique flavors such as Blue Milk and Ferrero Rocher, paired with fluffy charcoal waffles. Mochi waffles with gelato flavors like Thai Milk Tea and Earl Grey Lavender provide exciting textures and pairings, while soft serve ice cream and waffles are elevated with bold flavors like Sea Salt Gula Melaka and Roasted Pistachio, beautifully presented with fresh toppings. For chocolate lovers, there are decadent chocolate tarts, molten lava cakes, and cookies paired with rich hot chocolate. Botanical gelato flavors like White Chrysanthemum and Basil, Japanese-inspired sweets like Hokkaido cream puffs and cheese tarts, and vegan and gluten-free treats ensure that everyone can indulge in dessert time. Whether seeking traditional comfort or modern innovation, Singapore’s dessert spots promise a sweet escape for every taste.

Late Night Dessert Cafe Escapades In Singapore

On the hunt for late-night dessert indulgence? These places offer unique cakes and bakes for every taste. Why It Matters

Wide Variety of Traditional and Modern Options

Singapore’s dessert diversity is its biggest strength. From chocolate desserts to fruity delights, the variety is impressive. Traditional favourites like tang yuan, pulut hitam, and ice kacang connect you to cultural roots and bring back sweet childhood memories. On the other hand, modern desserts—think artisanal gelato, plated mille feuille, and Instagram-worthy soft serves—cater to adventurous palates. Contrasts in texture, sweetness, and presentation make both categories essential to the local food scene. Whether you find comfort in a bowl of tau suan or excitement in flaming bingsu, Singapore’s culinary landscape offers endless inspiration.

Dive into Singapore's diverse dessert culture where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly. Traditional dessert cafes, including some halal-certified gems, uphold authenticity with offerings like pulut hitam and tau suan. In contrast, modern cafes captivate with Instagram-worthy presentations such as plated tarts and inventive lava desserts. This balance allows dessert enthusiasts to craft their own journey—from a comforting sesame soup to a daring matcha fusion pastry.

Your best picks should consider flavours, creativity, and ambiance. Online ratings often highlight consistency, novelty, quality of ingredients, portion sizes, and price points—all valuable factors for dessert lovers. Online ratings often highlight consistency, novelty, quality of ingredients, portion sizes, and price points—all helpful factors for dessert lovers.

Unique concepts like build-your-own ice cream sandwiches, interactive DIY desserts, and thematic cafes set businesses apart. Dessert is no longer just about taste, but also the overall experience, ambiance, and how well a dessert spot stands out in a saturated market. Offering delectable chocolate creations and more, these places are popular among dessert lovers.
