GrabCar passengers can now add an extra stop to their booking. Get paid for the additional distance travelled.
We know that passengers sometimes ask for an extra stop along the way to their destination. From 8 May 2017, passengers can add an extra stop to their booking, so you’ll know where they’re heading to in advance.
The upfront fare will include the cost of the extra stop and is based on the total distance travelled. The further the stop, the higher the fare.
You will be notified in advance when a passenger books a ride with an extra stop.
After accepting the job, head to pick-up point to pick up the passenger and start the ride.
Tap the ‘1st Drop-off’ button upon reaching the first stop.
Tap ‘2nd Drop-off’ button at the second stop to complete the job.
Upfront fare automatically includes the cost of the extra stop (based on the distance travelled).
Terms and Conditions
For GrabCar bookings with an extra stop:
1) A surcharge of RM 15 will apply for bookings to and from KLIA / KLIA2 and Sepang.
2) The fixed fare of RM 65 to and from KLIA / KLIA2 does not apply.
3) A surcharge will apply for bookings to and from Genting.
How is the fare calculated?
The upfront fare includes the cost of the extra stop and is based on the total distance travelled.
How long do I have to wait at the extra stop?
You should only wait up to 3 minutes at the extra stop. Please communicate with your passengers for a smoother experience.
I just completed a booking with an extra stop. How many trips is it counted as?
Each booking with an extra stop is counted as one trip.
Can promo codes / discounts be applied to rides with extra stops?
Yes, any existing promo codes and discounts may be applied.
Are the fares subjected to surge pricing?
Yes, all upfront fixed fares are subjected to surge pricing regardless of whether there is an extra stop.
What if the passenger asks me to travel to the second stop and then to the first stop?
Please inform the passenger this is not possible as the fare is pre-determined at the point of booking based on the original order of the stops.
What should I do if the passenger didn’t book an extra stop, but asks for an additional stop along the way?
Please inform the passenger to make a separate separate Grab booking.
What should I do if the passenger booked an extra stop, but asks for a third stop along the way?
Please inform the passenger to make a separate Grab booking.
