How to Book a Restaurant Table in KL and Selangor with Grab Dine Out

Step by step: how to book a table

  1. Open the Grab app and tap Dine Out.
  2. Tap the Book Table tile, or look for the Book a Table button on a restaurant’s page.
  3. Choose the number of pax, date, preferred time and seating section if one is offered.
  4. Submit your booking.
  5. Check your email for the confirmation. Your reservation will also appear under Upcoming Bookings on the Dine Out homepage.

Changing or cancelling a booking

Plans change, especially in KL traffic. Find your reservation under Upcoming Bookings or Activity History, then open the booking confirmation page to edit or cancel. Changes are subject to each restaurant’s terms. Cancelling early is always appreciated, because it frees the table for another diner.

Good to know before you book

  • Deposits: some restaurants ask for a deposit to prevent no-shows. This is most common for set menus, large groups, specific days or special occasions. If one applies, you’ll be prompted during booking.
  • Multiple bookings: you can make more than one reservation in a day, but each must be more than 1 hour apart.
  • Participating restaurants only: look for the Book a Table button. Not every Dine Out restaurant takes reservations yet.

How to save when you dine

Grab Dine Out deals are redeemed when you pay in-store:

  • First-visit discount: 25% off your total bill at your first visit to any Grab Dine Out restaurant, with no minimum spend and no discount cap. Pay cashless with GrabPay Wallet, PayLater, a linked GX Account, or a credit or debit card.
  • Everyday discounts: around KL you’ll find offers such as 10% to 20% off the total bill at spots ranging from hand-pulled noodle shops to nasi lemak favourites.
