Yes, the newly applied Maybank GRAB Platinum Mastercard Credit Card can be added into the existing Grab account in Grab’s app. Kindly note that the existing Grab account has to share the same mobile number that was used to apply for the Maybank GRAB Platinum Mastercard Credit Card.

Your Grab account will remain. Once your card has been replaced, please add the replaced card details into the Grab app.

Q11: What is a digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card and physical Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card?

A digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card is a virtual copy of the Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card which consists of all necessary details for usage like CVV, expiry date, 16 digit code & etc.
Only Existing Maybank customer will receive a digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card which can be viewed in Maybank2u website (not viewable via M2U app) within the same day after the application is approved. A physical Maybank Grab Mastercard Platinum will be issued as well.

Note: The digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card details can be viewed on Maybank2U website. A digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card will only be issued to existing Maybank2u customers. New-to-bank or existing customers with no Maybank2U access will not receive a digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card.

Q12: What is the validity of the digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card?

The digital card will be deactivated 10 calendar days after approval.

Q13: Can I use the digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card prior to receiving the physical card? 

Yes, the digital Grab card has a card limit of RM300 that can be used for transactions within the Grab app only until the physical card arrives.
Once you have activated the physical card, the digital card will be automatically deactivated.

Note: If customer did not activate the physical card, the deactivation of the digital card happens after the 10 days grace period.

Q14: Where can I view my digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card?

You can view the digital card details (card number and CVV) from Maybank2U website only. TAC is required to view the card number or CVV.

Q15: Will my digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card be automatically cancelled upon cancellation of my physical Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card?

If you choose to cancel your physical card, your digital Grab card will also be deactivated.

Q16: I have yet to receive my physical Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card, what should I do?

Q17: When will the Service Tax be charged to my new Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card? Is it upon the first spend on the digital Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card or the activation of the physical Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card?

For new cards, Service Tax will be imposed upon activation of the card. If the card is not activated within 3 months, the Service Tax will be imposed on the 3rd month.

Q18: My Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card application was rejected, what should I do?

Q19: What is the campaign period?

Campaign is valid from 1 Jan – 28 Feb 022 only.

Q20: How do I get the campaign prizes?

This promo is applicable for NEW to Maybank Principal Credit Card individuals whom their application is approved within the Campaign Period.

The RM50 worth of GrabFood & GrabCar vouchers gift is subjected to minimum spend of RM300 with the Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card within 45 days from card activation.

You should receive the RM50 worth of GrabFood & GrabCar vouchers (5x RM5 GrabCar & 5x RM5 GrabFood vouchers) within 12 weeks upon completing the above. Please make sure the mobile number registered to your Maybank GRAB Platinum Mastercard Credit Card is the same as your mobile number for your Grab account.

Q28: Are there any transactions that DO NOT qualify for GrabRewards points with this Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card?

The following transactions are not taken into account in the accumulation of GrabRewards Points:
– Maybank EzyCash, Maybank EzyPay Instalment, Maybank EzyPay Plus, Cash Treats, Cash Advance, Balance Transfer;
– Transaction at Government Bodies and any reloads on e-wallets (except Grab e-wallet);
– Payment via JomPAY and FPX;
– Refunded, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transactions;
– Payment of card annual membership fees, interest charges, late payment charge, cash advance fee;
– Any other form of service or miscellaneous fees.

Q29: Where can I track my collected Maybank GrabRewards Points?

Q30: When will I receive my Maybank GrabRewards Points after using the Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card?

Once the transaction is captured as a valid transaction by your Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card, the Maybank GrabRewards Points will be updated in the Grab application within 3 to 5 working days basis labeled as “Grab X Maybank Points” (there will no app notification on this). Q31: I have transacted using my Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card but I did not receive my “Grab X Maybank Points” even after 3 – 5 working days, what can I do?

Q32: If my Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card was used in a fraudulent transaction or lost, what will happen to the GrabRewards Points?

Once the fraudulent transaction is cancelled, the allocated GrabRewards Points will be deducted accordingly.

Q33: Can I use my GrabRewards Points to off-set Service Tax or redemption of vouchers/items/Air miles?

NO.

Q34: If a VAT refund is transferred into Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card, what will happen to the points?

In this case, the transfer will cause a GrabRewards Points deduction. It is advisable to refund the tax back to its original credit card to avoid such issue.

Q35: If my transaction is cancelled/ reversed/ refunded, what will happen to my GrabRewards Points?

The awarded GrabRewards Points will be reversed accordingly.

Q36: Is there any expiry for GrabRewards Points?

Q38: Will there be Maybank TreatsPoints awarded for this Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card?

Q39: If I cancel my existing Maybank card upon approval of Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card, can I request to transfer the TreatsPoints from the cancelled card to Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card?

NO. You are not allowed to transfer the TreatsPoints from any of the cancelled card to Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card

Q40: When will I be upgraded to Platinum tier on GrabRewards?

You will be upgraded based on the the “1,000 Grab X Maybank Welcome Points” receive date. The Platinum tier upgrade will be done twice a month (every 1st & 16th).
Example 1: 1,000 Grab X Maybank Welcome Points receive date is 1st to 15th of the month, user will be upgraded to Platinum tier on 16th of the month
Example 2: 1,000 Grab X Maybank Welcome Points receive date is 16th to end of the month, user will be upgraded to Platinum tier on 1st of the month

Q41: How do I check my GrabRewards tier status?

Your GrabRewards tier status can be found under your account. From the Grab app Home Page → Account → tier is stated in the 1st row below your Profile name

Q42: Are the welcome or any promotional rewards extended to Maybank GRAB Mastercard Platinum Credit Card supplementary card members?

NO, supplementary card members will not receive neither the 1,000 Maybank GrabRewards Points nor the 5x RM5 GrabCar & 5x RM5 GrabFood vouchers nor any rewards from promotional offers. 

Q43: Are supplementary card members entitled to Maybank GrabRewards Points?

NO, the GrabRewards Points will be given to Principal card member only, based on the combination of both Principal and Supplementary cardmember’s spending.
