SABAH (LPKP) EVP Processes

EVP APPLICATION

Once the drivers’ documents have been verified, their applications will be forwarded to LPKP for processing every 4th week of the month. The approval of the application is estimated to take about 15 working days.

Please note that EVP applications will be processed in batches.

The documents required from drivers are:

  • PSV license
  • Vehicle grant (GrabCar)
  • TAXIs are exempt from EVP application.

 

The requirements for the EVP application are:

  • The vehicle should not be more than 15 years old.
  • Only Malaysian citizens or permanent residents, who are living, can be the vehicle owners.
  • The owner’s ID must be that of a Malaysian citizen (Military / Police / Company IDs are not permitted).
  • PUSPAKOM inspection is no longer required for EVP application.

 

EVP APPLICATION REJECTION

Some EVP applications may be rejected by LPKP due to various reasons. Grab will conduct a thorough review and verification based on the reasons for rejection and will proceed to resubmit the application if eligible. Please note that this resubmission process may require additional time. Once the application has been approved, the EVP details and documents will be updated in your Grab Driver app.

Examples of reasons for rejection include:
  • The EVP has been cancelled before and is still under a cooling-off period, or the vehicle’s owner has passed away.
  • Taxi drivers are exempted.
EVP RENEWAL

Is your EVP expiring soon? Don’t worry! We will handle the EVP renewal process for you.

Requirements for EVP renewal are:

  • The vehicle should not be more than 15 years old.
  • The driver’s account must be active.

EVP CANCELLATION
EVP Cancellation: The EVP will be cancelled with Grab only. The vehicle status will still fall under e-hailing. EVP cancellation may be based on the following reasons:
  • Loss of interest in driving with Grab
  • The vehicle’s age exceeds 15 years
  • Change of vehicle ownership / Owner is deceased
  • Change of vehicle / Conversion to private use car
  • Relocation out of Sabah (city change)
Puspakom B2 is required to change the vehicle status from e-hailing to personal car status. To request EVP Cancellation: The driver must fill out the link provided below using their Grab-registered email address. EVP Cancellation Form
EVP AMENDMENT

The ‘Ubahsyarat’ (Update Information) procedure is only necessary when the driver’s details on the EVP differ from the information on the car grant and the driver’s personal details.

Examples of situations requiring EVP amendment include:
  • The chassis number on the EVP differs from that of the car grant.
  • The owner’s or registered driver’s IC number on the EVP is incorrect.
  • The owner’s or driver’s name on the EVP is incorrect.
CHANGE CITY PROCESS BORNEO

Drivers who wish to change their home city to KV or Sarawak must cancel their EVP.

To do so, they must fill out the form at the link provided below, using their Grab registered email address.

1. Campaign period is from 15 January 2022 (12:00am) – 28 February 2022 (11.59pm).
2. GrabPay users are eligible for a “RM8 rebate” in your “My Rewards” when you spend a minimum of RM88 on a single receipt via GrabPay Wallet.
3. The offer of “RM8 rebate” is limited to a total of 62,500 redemptions throughout the campaign period.
4. Offer is valid for TWO (2) in-store redemptions with a cap of ONE(1) redemption per user per day throughout the campaign. Shared across AEON Co, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime, and AEON Wellness throughout the campaign period. 
5. The “RM8 rebate” will be awarded instantly with a minimum transaction of RM88 with GrabPay at all outlets of AEON Co, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime, AEON Wellness; The rebate can be found under “My Rewards”. Rebate must be redeemed by clicking “use now” under “My Rewards” 30 days from the date of issuance.
6. The campaign will cease once all redemptions have been fully awarded or at the expiration of the campaign period, whichever is earlier.
7. Offer is based on a first come first served and while stocks last basis only.
8. Grab and AEON Group shall not be under any obligation to inform users, on any communication channels once the offer has been fully redeemed.
9. Offer is only available for AEON Co, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime, and AEON Wellness physical stores purchases at cashier counter only via GrabPay Wallet; offer is not applicable for online or GrabMart purchases.
10. Offer is not exchangeable for cash or replacements.
11. Offer is not valid with any other voucher, discount or promotion.
12. Grab and AEON Group reserve the right to alter, extend or terminate the promotion, or amend the terms and conditions at its sole discretion at any time without prior notice. In case of any disputes directly or indirectly arising from the promotion, the decision of Grab and AEON Group shall be final.
13. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia and any dispute arising out of or in connection with promotion shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Malaysia.
14. This rebate is non-transferable to any party.
