FAQ: 100% Ride Guarantee

  1. Why do you say it’s 100% guarantee when I did not get a ride in my area [e.g. Taman Desa/ Sri Petaling]?
    100% ride guarantee only applies to specific locations. However, please be assured that we are working very hard to increase the no. of drivers within your area.

  2. Why do you say it’s a FREE ride when it’s only RM8?
    Based on our rates, RM8 is sufficient to cover up to 5km driving distance with GrabCar.

  3. Why are only those areas covered? Are you going to expand the 100% ride guarantee to any areas after this?
    We will definitely consider expanding to areas with exceptionally good demand. So, keep riding with Grab and the next area under our 100% Ride Guarantee could be yours!

  4. How do I know if I’m eligible to get my FREE ride?
    You will receive an SMS with your unique promo code (worth RM8) in it, within 72 hours.

  5. I tried booking twice in a day and did not get a ride either time, why did I not get my FREE ride?

    There could be a few reasons for this.

        Possibility 1: You did not book within 8am – 8pm (time of unallocation).
        Possibility 2: You did not book within the same location (e.g. 1st unallocation in Bangsar, 2nd unallocation in  TTDI).
        Possibility 3: You may have booked once on GrabCar and another time on GrabTaxi or other Grab platforms.
        Possibility 4: Your location may be just outside of our boundary areas.

  6. I keep seeing the driver names change while booking, do I get a free ride because of that?
    No, you need to see the message “Sorry, we couldn’t find you a driver” OR “Sorry! Our drivers seem busy” at least 2 times. If the drivers’ name keeps changing, it just means that the app is still trying to find you a driver within the reasonable time. (reasonable time = within 1 minute of trying)
