What is SPS Gig?
The Self-Employment Protection Scheme (SPS) programme is an initiative launched by SOCSO to provide protection for individuals who are self-employed under the provisions of the Self-Employment Social Security Act 2017.
Through this programme, self-employed individuals are protected from injuries including occupational diseases and accidents during self-employment activities.

SPS Gig 5.0 (Contribution Plan 2)
Under Contribution Plan 2 of SPS Gig 5.0, all self-employed individuals are entitled to be insured for up to RM1,550 monthly for injury during work-related activities.

Government Subsidy
To make Contribution Plan 2 accessible for even more self-employed individuals,
- The Government will subsidise 70% (RM162.80) of the yearly contribution amount of RM232.80.
- Grab partners only have to pay 30% of the yearly contribution amount (RM70) to receive on-the-job protection for one year after payment has been received!

Grab Sponsorship
Level 1
- Grab Partner contributes the subsidised contribution amount (RM70) to SOCSO.
- Complete a minimum of 100 bookings / orders by the same yearly quarter.
- Receive a reimbursement amount of RM20 in your Grab Cash Wallet by the first month of the following quarter.
Level 2
- Grab Partner contributes the subsidised contribution amount (RM70) to SOCSO.
- Maintain the Ultimate tier for two yearly quarters in a row.
- Receive a full reimbursement amount of RM70 in your Grab Cash Wallet by the first month of the following quarter.
