Jakarta, 10 November 2016 – As a form of appreciation to veteran’s service to Indonesia, GrabFood, the on-demand food delivery service provided by Grab, today holds a luncheon along with veteran representatives from around Jakarta. The event has been made possible as a result of donations from Grab customers who ordered food from GrabFood service.
Through the “Order More, Be a Hero” initiative, Grab Indonesia collaborated with non-profit organization Yayasan Sahabat Veteran to express gratitude to veterans in a humble way. Every GrabFood transactions between 5 – 9 November contributes its IDR2,000 delivery fee to the donation.
“As Indonesia marks the National Heroes Day, we raised a donation in honor of our veterans who have served our country. Grab has high commitment in improving the quality of life of the Indonesian people by providing a safe, reliable, and certainty ride and it seems fitting to give back to the men and women who have served and protected our country” said Mediko Azwar, Marketing Director, Grab Indonesia.
Since launched in May, GrabFood has been the foodies’ choice and made great food easily available with only a few taps in the Grab app on your smartphone, still hot and ready to eat.
