Grab Encourages Its Users to Help Banten and Lampung Revive

Grab, the leading Online-to-Offline (O2O) mobile platform in Southeast Asia collaborates with Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) to encourage its users for raising donation by redeeming their GrabRewards points to help the victims’ the tsunami that had hit Banten and Lampung in the end of December 2018 through GrabRewards Charity program.

Jakarta, 4 January 2019 – Grab, the leading Online-to-Offline (O2O) mobile platform in Southeast Asia collaborates with Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) to encourage its users for raising donation by redeeming their GrabRewards points to help the victims’ the tsunami that had hit Banten and Lampung in the end of December 2018 through GrabRewards Charity program.

“After the tsunami, we are committed to help Banten and Lampung revive by utilizing our technology’s transformative power through GrabRewards Charity. We would like to bring together Grab community consisting of our customers, driver-partners, employees and agents across Indonesia to help those in need in Banten and Lampung. We hope this program can help Grab community to showcase their concern and bring them closer with our fellow Indonesians,” said Ridzki Kramadibrata, Managing Director Grab Indonesia.

As part of the relief efforts, Grab is focused on two main sectors, including primary food supply and sanitation equipment that are expected to help the daily lives of people in Banten and Lampung. In addition, Grab driver-partners will also contribute to helping the mobility of donated logistics to several impacted areas in Banten and Lampung.

Within three weeks, starting from December 23, 2018 to January 15, 2019, Grab users are able to start their GrabRewards points redemption in GrabRewards Charity program “Bersama Berdiri Bantu Banten & Lampung Bangkit Kembali.” GrabRewards Charity program will provide three options of donation redemption, where Grab users are able to:

  • Redeem 200 points to donate IDR5,000;
  • Redeem 400 points to donate IDR10,000;
  • Redeem 800 points to donate IDR20,000.

“It is our third collaboration program with Grab. We welcome Grab’s efforts to be always responsive in providing relief efforts for Indonesians. We will work closely with Grab to immediately distribute the donation to residents in need in the impacted areas,” Lukman Azis Kurniawan, General Manager Media Network Development Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) added.
