 Jakarta, 10 June 2017 – As part of its 5th-anniversary celebration, Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading ride-hailing and mobile payments platform, presents exclusive GrabHeli rides for its top users and driver-partners during 10 – 11 June 2017. Through this exclusive opportunity, Grab wants to give a memorable experience of aerial sightseeing around Jakarta with a thrilling and traffic-free sensation.

Ridzki Kramadibrata, Managing Director of Grab Indonesia, stated, “June is an exciting month for Grab as we are now celebrating our 5th anniversary. Grab started out with only 40 taxi drivers who responded to our call to provide safe, reliable, and affordable rides. Five years on, we are now in 55 cities with close to 930,000 drivers around Southeast Asia with Indonesia as our largest market in the region.”

“We believe this tremendous milestone has been earned due to the hard work of our driver-partners and also the endless support of our users during our existence here. We have learned a lot from our users and they have become our motivation to keep innovating to address their local problems and serve them better. Therefore, in accordance with the festive celebration of our 5th anniversary, we want to thank our users by giving our top users and drivers an exclusive opportunity to enjoy Jakarta’s city view from above and be the first to ride with our pre-booking helicopter service, GrabHeli,” he continued.

GrabHeli is specially designed to provide a quality and high-end transportation service at an affordable price. Given the traffic situation in Jakarta, GrabHeli is one of the possible breakthrough solutions to solve this local problem for specific target customers in the future.

Ridzki added, “We understand our customers need different transport services at different times and we are committed to providing them with the most accessible and affordable options. Our commitment drives us to always think out of the box and enables us to provide a multi-services platform like we are today. Thus, we are more than excited to soon introduce our latest solution to land transport services.”

Starting from 5 June 2017, Grab’s top platinum users are selected to experience GrabHeli. During 10 – 11 June 2017, there will be 8 schedules available per day from 2:15 – 5:45 PM for a maximum of 4 passengers respectively. In order to enjoy 15-minute rides, selected users – who already received related in-app notification – have to confirm their desired schedule at least 3 days prior to the departure date.

In addition to exclusive GrabHeli rides, Grab also gives 5 free GrabCar and GrabBike rides to its users when they use GrabPay as a part of its 5th-anniversary celebration in Indonesia. This giveaway activity will run from 5 June to 2 July 2017.
