Grab Introduces New Initiatives to Improve the Lives of GrabCar Driver-Partners in Bogor

After launching Grab Driver Center (GDC) in Jakarta on September 2017, Grab Indonesia, the leading ride-hailing and mobile payment platform in Southeast Asia, strengthens its commitment to GrabCar driver-partners through the opening of a new Grab Driver Center (GDC) in Bogor

As a part of its initiatives, Grab launches a new Grab Driver Center (GDC) facility at Lippo Plaza Keboen Raya Bogor for GrabCar driver-partners

Bogor, 6 March 2018 – After launching Grab Driver Center (GDC) in Jakarta on September 2017, Grab Indonesia, the leading ride-hailing and mobile payment platform in Southeast Asia, strengthens its commitment to GrabCar driver-partners through the opening of a new Grab Driver Center (GDC) in Bogor. It is one of Grab’s various initiatives to sustainably improve driver-partners’ welfare, productivity, and convenience as they are part of the key pillars that contribute to Grab’s rapid business growth.

Ridzki Kramadibrata, Managing Director of Grab Indonesia, said, “At Grab, we believe that our driver-partners are at the center of what we do. We always keep our ears to the ground and find out on what can be improved from our driver-partners’ feedback. Because of this feedback, we are excited to announce these new initiatives, which are carefully created for our driver-partners, such as the opening of a new Grab Driver Center located in Bogor to bring the best service closer with them who mostly live in Bogor and surrounding areas. Thus, they don’t have to travel far away to get solutions that address all their questions and complaints. On top of that, some of the new initiatives that we introduce aim to help to reduce their families’ operational costs by giving various fascinating benefits that cover the monetary, as well as provide better service for them. This is also in line with our commitment to improving the service quality, as well as providing a better experience for our driver-partners.”

As part of the long-standing commitment to improve driver partners’ welfare, Grab introduces some initiatives that can benefit them, including:


  • “Grab Lawan Opik!” program: We implement “Grab Lawan Opik” program to better appreciate our driver-partners, who works honestly and will always give sanction for those who violate Grab’s code of ethics by leveraging our risk and fraud detection system that can detect fraudulent activities, including fake order (opik). In this program, driver partners are encouraged to actively participate in eradicating fake order operations by reporting the details of any fraud actions happened towards driver partners, passengers, or other Grab’s partners to There will be certain rewards for the first informer with proven fraud actions that detrimental to the company.



  • Grab Umrah program: On 9 March 2018, Grab will proudly send out 32 best driver-partners from Indonesia to Mecca, the holy land for Umrah. This is a concrete form of driver-partners’ welfare improvement program, focusing on the religious aspect, where Grab offers a subsidised Umrah program and Umrah saving program for GrabCar driver-partners.



  • Grab Benefits: An exclusive program, in which Grab’s driver-partners can enjoy various benefits and discounts. They can access all benefits and discount options from their GrabDriver application. Through this program, driver-partners can reduce their cost and use the offered discounts to maximise their earnings. This GrabBenefits includes all financial aspect, such as Family, Health, F&B Supports, and Vehicle Maintenance.


  • “My Destination/Favorite Location” new feature: We also facilitate GrabCar driver-partners who live in Bogor and surrounding areas, in which “My Destination/Favorite Location” feature enables them to get orders with same direction/destination. This feature benefits them as it reduces their possibility to go to their favorite location without any order taken, for instance, driver partner can choose the same destination with the passenger during their departure and way back to home, therefore they can get extra earning when they are on the way back to Bogor.   

These new initiatives are a form of Grab’s commitment for GrabCar driver-partners that hopefully can encourage them to provide better services and bring them closer to their dreams and needs.
