Grab Holds “Temu Seru Mitra” to Celebrate Its First Anniversary in Yogyakarta

Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading ride-hailing and mobile payments platform, today held “Temu Seru Mitra” event at the Monumen Serangan Umum 1 Maret to celebrate its first anniversary in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Grab recognizes its top driver-partners for the loyalty and outstanding services by bringing them closer to their aspirations

Yogyakarta, 17 December 2017 – Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading ride-hailing and mobile payments platform, today held “Temu Seru Mitra” event at the Monumen Serangan Umum 1 Maret to celebrate its first anniversary in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The event aimed to show appreciation to its driver-partners’ hard work and commitment in the city, who have participated in spurring Grab’s tremendous achievement in Indonesia.

Ridzki Kramadibrata, Managing Director of Grab Indonesia said, “Our driver-partners are the ones who shaped Grab to become the trusted transport brand in Indonesia. We care about improving their lives – by enabling them to be a micro-entrepreneur and bring them closer to what matters to them. Grab has successfully expanded its service to 104 cities across Indonesia and strengthen its position as a platform with the widest coverage area from Aceh to Papua. This achievement is made possible with the inclusion of Yogyakarta as one of 104 cities where we operate in. We are immensely grateful to all the support and hard work of our driver-partners in the city, who strive to provide the utmost service to the passengers and uphold our safety standard.”

As part of its commitment to improving the lives of driver-partners and their families – in recognition of their contributions to the company, Grab awarded its top 64 GrabCar and GrabBike driver-partners in Yogyakarta region. Included as the prizes are cash money, shopping vouchers, hotel vouchers, and travel vouchers. As the grand prize, Grab presented a motorcycle to one driver-partner who completed 20 rides between December 11th-17th through a raffle coupon.

“We believe by ensuring the livelihood of our driver-partners, it will drive them to provide better service for the passengers,” Ridzki added.

“Temu Seru Mitra” is a series of recreational events presented for 2,000 driver-partners and their families, as well as Yogyakartans. During this event, the visitors can enjoy a bazaar of F&B, handicraft, and discounted spare parts, along with music performance. Grab also partnered with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in Yogyakarta to organize a blood donation for those in need.

To develop a more meaningful partnership and strengthen solidarity among driver-partners, Grab regularly holds numerous activities with its driver-partners. In 2017, activities held by Grab for its driver-partners in Yogyakarta, including Sahur on the Road; Mystery Guest; Partner’s Gathering; Handcrafting Class; Grab 17-an; Grab Award; Grab Safari; Moment of Appreciation for Partners; English Class; Grab Futsal; and Grab Peduli Jogja, Solo, Purworejo.

Today, Grab offers GrabCar, GrabBike, and GrabTaxi to cater the growing demand for safe, affordable, and comfortable transportation solution in Yogyakarta. The services are available in all districts throughout the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Solo Raya (Klaten, Solo, Sukoharjo, Boyolali, Karanganyar dan Sragen), and Kedu Raya (Magelang, Purworejo). Grab will be available soon to customers residing in Kebumen, Wonosobo, and Temanggung.
