MANILA, Philippines — Over 5,000 Grab drivers gathered at the Megatent in Libis, Quezon City last November 19 for the annual Driver Day organized by Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand transportation and mobile payments platform.

This year’s Grab Driver Day entitled “#TY Ka-Grab: Pamaskong Handog 2017” was organized to give back gratitude and appreciation to driver-partners for their overwhelming dedication and support to the passengers and to the ride-hailing industry. Ka-Grab drivers experienced five-star treatment through a day of fun-filled activities and quality-entertainment.

The driver-partners took home various prizes and surprises after actively participating in exciting games such as ‘Grab of Fortune’, Grab’s take on the popular roulette wheel game. Grab also brought laughter and cheer through ‘Grab or Go” as drivers were given the chance to bring home exciting prizes.

This year’s driver day also celebrated the talents of Grab’s driver-partners. They proudly sang their hearts out, danced to some hip-hop beat, and even showcased their acrobatic skills through a talent show.

#TYKaGrab was also made to recognize outstanding partner-drivers through ‘Grab Five-Star Award of Excellence. The award was given to select driver-partners who offered relentless service to Filipino commuters and served as inspiration to fellow drivers.

Lastly, Grab assured that driver-partners’ satisfaction is at the forefront of Grab’s operations. Grab officials shared a sneak peak of new developments to the driver experience – Driver Care app. This will provide Grab’s driver-partners with better support and security by allowing access to current updates, training materials, safety reminders, driver-assistance and added offers and incentives.  

“We are thankful to our driver-partners for everything that they’ve done for Grab. You all serve as our modern-day heroes for tirelessly driving us to our desired destinations. We know you deserve the same 5-star treatment you extend to our passengers. This is for you mga ka-Grab because you deserve the best,” Grab Philippines Country Head Brian Cu said.
