Grab Philippines reaffirms its strong support to Drivers and Delivery Partners, announces P25M Partner Assistance Fund for 2022

Grab prides itself in placing the interests and welfare of Grab driver- and delivery-partners front and center via three (3) key focus areas: (1) extending working capital loans (2) working closely with the government to revisit existing fare and fee structures, and (3) dedicating a PHP 25M Assistance Fund to help its partners overcome the adverse impacts of natural calamities and ongoing macroeconomic conditions.

11 March 2022, MANILA PHILIPPINES – Grab Philippines continues to champion the interests and welfare of its driver- and delivery partners amidst economic challenges and complexities.

  1. Working capital loans. Grab Philippines will extend its zero-interest loan support on fuel purchasing through Grab Finance Shell Fuel Card, where select drivers and delivery-partners can avail of a week’s worth of fuel.

  2. Working closely with the government to revisit existing fare and fee structures. Grab Philippines is fully committed to doing right by its consumers, driver- and delivery-partners, and merchants during these challenging times, and it will continue to engage its stakeholders to come up with a balanced and sustainable solution to this issue.

Grab has proactively engaged its regulators and government partners to revisit the current fare and fee structures of its ride-hailing and deliveries business, and to ensure that its driver- and delivery-partners are recipients of the government’s fuel subsidy program.

  3. Creation of 2022 Partner Assistance Fund. To help cushion the livelihoods of Grab driver- and delivery-partners from the adverse impacts of natural calamities and ongoing macroeconomic shifts in the country, Grab Philippines has dedicated a PHP 25 Million Partner Assistance Fund to be utilized in the form of performance-based incentives and other partner support programs.

“The economic challenges that we are experiencing require a longer-term solution from all sectors of our society. We are optimistic that through our efforts, we are inspiring more platforms, businesses, and organizations to step forward and take on this enormous task of advocating for their stakeholders during these challenging times. Grab Philippines will continue to keep its ears to the ground, and tailor our programs, initiatives, and efforts to the real-time needs of our consumers, driver- and delivery-partners, and merchants in the country,” said Grab Philippines Sr Director for Strategy and Operations Ronald Roda. ###
