Perum DAMRI Teams Up with Grab as the First Platform to Support Seamless Connectivity in All DAMRI Terminals across Indonesia

Today, DAMRI Public Service Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Grab and OVO as a synergy to support seamless connectivity and cashless payment for all DAMRI and Grab passengers across Indonesia

Jakarta, 2 April 2018 – Today, DAMRI Public Service Company (Perum DAMRI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Grab and OVO as a synergy to support seamless connectivity and cashless payment for all DAMRI and Grab passengers across Indonesia.  

This strategic partnership facilitate passengers who arrive in DAMRI terminals across Indonesia. The passengers now can continue their trips by heading to Grab’s official pickup point and directly booking the safe and convenient transport service through GrabCar or GrabBike.

The MoU signing between these three companies is a part of Grab and OVO mutual commitment, which not only to facilitate a comfort, safe, and affordable transportation service, but also to provide cashless payment for Indonesians, especially to DAMRI passengers.

Tatan Rustandi, Business Development and Commercial Director of Perum DAMRI stated, “Through the strategic partnership with Grab, we hope to be able to unlock wider access for passengers and Indonesians to other transport options as part of our business to provide the best for people who count on our service through a fast, seamless, and cashless payment option to DAMRI’s passengers. We will continue to work harder to support the transportation system across Indonesia and hopefully it can be the best practice for the presence of ride-hailing service and cashless payment option at public facility locations in Indonesia.”

After the partnership signing, DAMRI passengers can enjoy GrabCar, GrabBike as well as GrabNow feature that will ease their booking experience, by simply heading to Grab’s pickup point of GrabShelter located in DAMRI terminals. Grab’s representative will help the instant booking, while another representative will help moving customer’s belonging. Customers will surely get Grab’s fare based on the application that has been agreed at the beginning and give the assurance of affordable fare. Grab’s customers can also redeem their GrabRewards points to get DAMRI ticket with scan barcode/coupon code method.
