Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand transportation and mobile payments platform, today announced a partnership with the world’s leading music streaming service – Spotify. The special offer to celebrate this partnership includes a 60-day free trial of Spotify Premium for Grab consumers in Thailand. In addition, Grab consumers in Southeast Asia including Thailand, who are Spotify members can now redeem GrabRewards for Spotify monthly subscription fees.

This new partnership, which is announced following the official launch of Spotify in Thailand, offers Grab consumers access to the world’s most popular music streaming service and a massive music catalogue of more than 30 million songs, plus a huge range of playlists curated by local and international music experts and fans worldwide.

Yee Wee Tang, Country Head of Grab Thailand, said: “At Grab, we want to create value with every ride taken beyond providing safe and affordable transport for our passengers. Under GrabRewards loyalty program, we are constantly seeking new rewards partners to offer our passengers the access to a wide range of popular and well-loved brands that truly matter to them. The partnership with Spotify will connect our Southeast Asia’s largest loyalty program with more than 59 million users to the world’s most advanced and user-friendly music streaming service.”

Sunita Kaur, Managing Director of Spotify Asia, said: “Grab users can now reward themselves with a revolutionary music experience, offering the very best in local and international music tuned to your personal tastes. We’re looking forward to further extending our partnership to maximize the experience for users on both services.”

Spotify brings together a community of more than 140 million users, including over 60 million subscribers, across 61 markets worldwide. Spotify first came to Asia in 2013 and is now available in seven Asian markets, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand.
