GrabFood, Thailand’s No.1 Food Delivery Platform1, is boosting consumer spending in the second half of the year with the launch of its latest campaign: “GrabFood Mega Sale The Real Deal” The campaign aims to provide greater value and affordability to consumers in today’s cost-conscious climate, featuring three major promotional offers: Hot Deals with meals starting from just 30 baht, up to 60% discounts using the MEGA promo code, and free delivery on every order.
The highlight of the campaign is its over 250,000 Hot Deals—the largest number ever offered—sourced from a wide network of merchant-partners ranging from top QSR chains and iconic street food stalls to trending local favorites nationwide.
Panomkorn Jirasatienpong, Director of Marketing at Grab Thailand, stated “In today’s increasingly budget-conscious environment, Thai consumers are more mindful of their spending, especially as household expenses and cost of living continue to rise by an average of 1.5% annually2. Consumers are seeking quality products and services at prices they can afford. This campaign reinforces GrabFood’s value-for-money positioning by offering more choices, greater affordability, and exceptional deals through strong partnerships with merchant-partners. The “GrabFood Mega Sale The Real Deal” campaign has seen a more than 40% increase in participation from small merchants across the country compared to the first quarter, providing users with a broader variety of food choices and improved national coverage. At the same time, it supports SMEs and local food entrepreneurs, giving them a boost in sales during a period of economic slowdown. This further underlines GrabFood’s role as a platform committed to empowering local food businesses, helping them thrive through challenging times.
To build buzz around the campaign, GrabFood is launching a full-scale marketing push both online and offline — kicking off with a highly anticipated launch event featuring “Friends of Grab”— celebrity presenters, Gemini Norawit, Fourth Nattawat, Sky Wongravee, and Nani Hirunkit, who serve as ambassadors of the ‘Hot Deals’ sub-brand. The event also included show-stopping performance by T-Pop sensations BUS and PiXXiE, further igniting excitement around the campaign.
In a creative twist, GrabFood has also launched “THE FOOD TOOBLAND by GrabFood Mega Sale”, its first-of-its-kind game show. The show pits two teams led by celebrity coaches Lukkade Metinee and Pim Sonia—with team members including Nani Hirunkit, Tay Tawan, Off Jumpol, Hong Pichetpong from LYKN, Madeaw Apichet, and Mamaong—in a series of fun and competitive challenges to determine who will win the crown as the ultimate “Hot Deal Master”.
