Grab and Central Group co-invest 1.8 billion baht to launch the first MEGA O2O ‘Grab x Central: Eat, Shop, Nonstop’ extravaganza campaign of the year to offer full-on discount promos and giveaways to users from 1 – 28 April 2019

  • Bangkok, 2 April 2019 – Grab Thailand, the leading super app in Southeast Asia, and Central Group, Thailand’s largest omnichannel retail conglomerate, continue its strong partnership to drive Thailand toward New Experience Economy’ by launching their first Mega O2O campaign; ‘Grab x Central: Eat, Shop, Nonstop’ to offer more benefits to consumers with full-on discounts and promotions of 1.8 billion baht worth in total to Grab users during 1 – 28 April, 2019.

     

    Tarin Thaniyavarn, Country Head of Grab Thailand, said “Central Group is one of our most significant partners. The partnership announcement in January enables Grab users to access more variety of offerings as a result of Grab and Central Group’s collaboration to expand services and promotions. This mega O2O campaign announcement will introduce more choices and even greater experience of dining and shopping within Central Group’s restaurants and stores. Moreover, Central Group’s restaurants and shops alike will broaden their customer base through Grab’s super app and our attractive joint promotions. This campaign will strengthen the businesses of both Central Group and Grab to grow and expand our super app services to cover every aspect of our customers’ lifestyle in response to their daily needs.”

     

     

    Under the campaign ‘Grab x Central: Eat, Shop, Nonstop’, consumers will get 3 offerings upon using any services* on Grab application from 1 – 28 April. The more they use, the more chances they would have for discounts and rewards.

    • 1st offer: Seamless Rides! Get 50% off (maximum discount 40 baht) for any trip to and from Central shopping malls participating in the campaign by using promo code “CENTRAL”, and 12 times max of GrabRewards point multiplier for any purchase with Central The 1 Credit Card.*
    • 2nd offer: Fun Shopping Discounts! Following every single usage of Grab services*, customers will get discount stamps shown in the in-app widget which they can use at any Central restaurants and stores participating in the campaign.
    • 3rd offer: All-year Free Dining Vouchers! Five top spenders of GrabFood customers who ordered their meals from CRG restaurants will get vouchers worth 100,000 baht in total for all year free-dining.

    On top of that, GrabFood will also feature ‘buy one, get one free’ promotion for 11 CRG restaurants including Pepper Lunch, Auntie Anne’s, Tenya etc.

This mutual collaboration will also lead Central Group to become a leading Thailand’s digital lifestyle platform and align with our corporate strategy ‘New Central, New Economy’.”

     

    Lertvit Pumipitak, Senior Executive Vice President, Property Management at Central Pattana Public Company Limited (CPN), said “Not only will ‘Grab x Central: Eat, Shop, Nonstop’ serve the growth of Central Group’s food business through GrabFood, it will also expand customer base for department stores and shops under CPN through Grab’s in-app promotions.     After the remarkable partnership announcement in January, Grab and Central Group collaborated in various campaigns to answer consumers’ lifestyle needs. For example, ‘Chocolate Love Delivery by GrabFood x Tops’ a Valentine’s Day event in February was held for Grab users to order chocolate items and exclusive gift sets from Tops through GrabFood. Grab also helped food lovers fulfill all types of cravings by partnering with CRG restaurants under the concept ‘Enjoy all CRG restaurants in one order’. For the latest ‘Grab x Central: Eat, Shop, Nonstop’ campaign, Grab and Central aim to enhance integrated shopping and dining experience for online and offline customers. This reiterates its super app leadership with expansive high-quality restaurant network, greatest promotions, and seamless transportation.
