The leading ride-hailing platform in Southeast Asia, Grab, is at it again — innovating the way people commute with its latest promo called GrabTricycle.

The promo will start on March 27 and will last until April 5, which will allow riders to book the three-wheeled ride with the Grab app for free. Passengers will be able to book GrabTricycle in the vicinity of Pioneer in Mandaluyong. The promo will be available in these routes:

  • Pioneer St. to William St.
  • Sheridan to William St.
  • Reliance to Pioneer St.
  • Mayflower to United St.
  • William
  • Madison
  • Pines

Never one to back out of a challenge, the TNC turned a viral social media joke and into a reality. Last 2016, Top Gear Philippines shared a photo of a makeshift tricycle pretending to be a GrabTricycle. As a response, the ride-hailing app took the challenge to heart and has finally rolled out their new campaign to the delight of their passengers.

“Tricycles are an important part of the lives of Filipino commuters, and this is our way of celebrating tricycles as a part of the Filipino riding culture,” Brian Cu, Grab Philippines Country Head said. “With this limited promotion we are innovating the way we book a tricycle ride while delighting passengers in the process.”

Booking a free GrabTricycle ride is easy! Passengers just need to download and open the Grab app, choose the GrabTricycle icon and input the promo code GRABTRIKE. Riders need to make sure they are within the areas covered by the promo. Once the ride is booked, passengers can contact the drivers to let them know their exact location and wait to be picked up. All GrabTricycle rides are free of charge so passengers can enjoy this unique experience.
