Yes, you and the sender will both need to complete a one-time account verification before you can enjoy Grab’s remittance service.

Users in Singapore can use their Grab app to instantly send you money. Here’s how it works:

  1. Sender tops up GrabPay balance using debit card or PayNow
  2. Sender taps on ‘Transfer Overseas’ in the Payment page
  3. Sender enters transfer amount. He/she will be shown exactly how much you will receive in PHP
  4. Sender chooses your account from his/her address book or enter your mobile number
  5. Sender taps on Send and you’ll receive the money within minutes.

In most cases, the transfer will be instant, but it may take up to 5 minutes for you to receive the money in your GrabPay Wallet.

No, there are no fees associated with sending the money or transferring the money you receive to your bank account.

You will receive the money in your GrabPay Wallet, which you can use for various Grab services. You can also transfer it to your bank account free of charge.

For BDO customers, your transfer will be posted to your bank account within 3 hours.

For non-BDO customers, your transfer will be posted to your bank account:

  • On the same day if you submit your request before 11AM
  • On the next working day if you submit your request after 11AM

In most cases, the transfer will be instant, but it may take up to 5 minutes for recipients to receive your money in their GrabPay Wallet.

Recipients can then use the money to pay for Grab services or transfer it to their bank accounts. For bank transfers, please note the following:

  • For BDO customers, transfers will be posted to their bank account within 3 hours.
  • For non-BDO customers, transfers will be posted to their bank account:
    • On the same day if the request is submitted  before 11AM
    • On the next working day if the request is submitted after 11AM
