Yangon, Myanmar, 2 January 2018 – Grab, the leading on-demand transportation and mobile payments platform in Southeast Asia,  and Samsung Electronics, the global smartphone market leader, are collaborating to host the first-ever contest named “Grab-A-Note Race” in Yangon.
The Grab-A-Note Race is jointly organised by the two companies to encourage taxi bookings through the Grab mobile application and celebrate the recently-launched Samsung Galaxy Note8 smartphone in the Myanmar market.
Representing the first collaboration of its type in Myanmar, Grab and Samsung Myanmar will invite the public in Yangon, including Grab users and Samsung fans, to participate in the Grab-A-Note Race. Selected participants will receive MMK 30,000 worth of promotion codes, and the winners of the race will win a Samsung Galaxy Note8 smartphone.
The Grab-A-Note Race will see selected participants take on a challenge similar to the popular “Amazing Race” television programme, where clues will be given for them to visit six Samsung stores in Yangon on the event day, using GrabTaxi to travel around the city. The first team, which arrives at the final Samsung store destination, will be awarded as the winner.

Grab-A-Note Race Details
1) Registration to Participate: Those who are interested can register to participate in the race by taking at least one GrabTaxi Plus  Beta) ride booked through the Grab mobile application from 1 to 7 January 2018. To book a GrabTaxi Plus (Beta) ride, users will
need to do the following:
a) Open the Grab mobile application and enter their pick-up and drop-off point
b) Tap the ‘Promo” box
c) Enter GRABANOTE in the promo box (no discount on the ride will be given)
d) Tap on the vehicle menu and select GrabTaxi Plus (Beta)
e) Tap Book to process the taxi booking and to enjoy the ride

2) Participant Selection: Grab and Samsung will select eight participants via lucky draw on 8 January 2018 to participate in the Grab-A-Note Race. The selected participants will be announced on Grab and Samsung Myanmar’s official Facebook pages. Each of the
eight selected participants will get to choose a partner and form a team of two persons for the race.

3) Grab-A-Note Race Day: Taking place on 13 January 2018, the race will feature eight teams racing against each other to visit six Samsung stores in Yangon. Each team will receive clues about each store location, and Grab will provide transportation with its
GrabTaxi service throughout the race. The race, with a distance of 13.4km in total, will be held from 8am to 5pm. The first team which would be able to visit all six Samsung stores will be the winner of the race.
