Grab appoints Alejandro Osorio as Managing Director of Grab Vietnam

  • Vietnam, 13 December, 2022 — Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading superapp, today announced the appointment of Alejandro Osorio as Managing Director of Grab Vietnam. In this role, Alejandro Osorio will oversee vision, business strategy and operations across all of Grab’s businesses in Vietnam, with the aim to deliver robust sustainable growth for the whole Grab ecosystem, from mobility, deliveries to financial services. In addition, Alejandro Osorio will be responsible for driving the Grab for Good mission in Vietnam to leverage Grab’s ecosystem to create more positive social and environmental impacts for the country, contributing to the country’s Industry 4.0 ambitions. 

    A 5-year veteran at Grab, Alejandro Osorio was previously Director for Regional Strategy & Planning, Operations at Grab and most recently served as Managing Director of Grab Thailand. “Alejandro’s experience in building up business strategy on a regional scale and developing high-performing local teams makes him the right leader for the next phase of growth for Grab in Vietnam. His strong track record in driving Grab Thailand to emerge even stronger post COVID-19 pandemic will enable him to truly understand the strategy and execution needed to extend Grab’s leadership positions across all on-demand segments in Vietnam, while simultaneously giving back to the local communities,” said Mr. Russell Cohen, Group Managing Director, Operations of Grab.

    Under Alejandro Osorio’s leadership, Grab Vietnam aims to leverage the power of the superapp ecosystem to strengthen its leadership in the country. The company plans to advance technology to help improve the efficiency for its partners, offering more relevant everyday services and ecosystem-wide benefits for consumers, as well as leveraging partnerships to further its Grab for Good mission in Vietnam.
