Our drivers are well prepared.

We make certain they are ready for any situation that may arise by requiring First Aid training, Disaster Preparedness Training, as well as Defensive Driving or Riding Training. No matter the need, you are sure to be taken care of.

We train GrabCar, GrabTaxi and GrabExpress drivers in Safety and Occupational First Aid, including CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). GrabCar and GrabTaxi drivers receive further training in Defensive Riding training, Legal Awareness, and (starting 2017) Disaster Preparedness and Rescue.

WHEN YOU BOOK A RIDE

We provide you with your driver’s name, license plate, photo and rating so you know who’s picking you up. We’ll tell you exactly where your driver is on a digital map, and how many minutes until your ride arrives at your pick-up point.

An easy way to contact your driver.

GrabChat provides seamless two-way communication between you and your driver. You’re automatically sent the driver’s contact details, and are able to chat with your driver without ever leaving the app.

We’re big on ensuring privacy too, so all conversations you have on GrabChat with your driver are deleted once the journey is complete.

Our co-founder, Hooi Ling, wanted to be able to update her worried loved ones on her whereabouts while commuting. That’s why we created the Share My Ride feature. Tap it to share your driver details, the car plate number and car model to your loved ones. Real-time tracking allows your loved one to know where along the journey you are, and to be alerted when you’ve reached your destination.
